quote #1 "Weiss, though, believes the team could have scored more goals had it not been for some ‘selfish plays’ by some players."
quote #2
"We will become much, much better if we leave alone selfish quibbling from the strikers. The thing is, with better opposition, we will not be able to go through 3-4 defenders because they will break the selfish players down easily,”

this is what i like most about Coach Weiss. he's very true to himself. i believe this ballhogs (crocs) will learn their lessons the hard way (will be benched for quiet a while if they'll continue to do their thing or worst will be dropped from the team).

"selfish quibbling" - first time I heard that, and interesting choice of word "quibbling." There's probably a German term he was thinking of and that's likely to be the closest Coach Weiss could translate it to English.

palami should control his players lalo na pag interview. gma obviously inggit cos abscbn got exclusive rights sa azkals games hence pati rin exclusive interviews. gma is trying to destroy the team by egging on chippy by emphasizing pure pinoy and half pinoy having a rift. that can be seen sa interview ni jessica oink oink kay chippy. if gma jessica and chippy doesn't thibk the fil-fors sre pinoy din eh di gumawa sila ng sarili nilang constitution.
these guys could have chosen not to sacrifice and mourn the loss of thei relative instead of playing for our nt. ie mulders and etheridge. and who here thinks na hindi pagmamahal sa pinas na bansa ng kanyang nanay ang choosing to postpone honeymoon to play for our nt? ie shrock. chippy should stfu cos di sila aabot sa ganito without the help of the fil-fors.kahit dun pa lang sa suzuki di sila aabot sa semis kung wala ang mga fil-fors.he's sounding like an ungrateful bstrd.

AMEN to that bro! jessica oink oink LOL! 2 na oink oink sa GMA eh, you know who's the other one. Why GMA came up with this question about the rift bet. fil-fors and pure ones since PYH, JYH, Jonsson, Etheridge, Capt. Aly and Anton were been in the NT for long time very ironic question

So, wala nang fault ang ABS-CBN? How about ABS bringing the bollocks out of the relationship of YHB and Locsin? Can you just leave the friggin couple alone? Filipinos need to learn alot from WAG Culture.
Buti pa asawa at anak ni Lord Chieffy, di man lang ineemphasize ng sobra.
But in reality, mas malala pa WAG culture sa ibang bansa XD

Actually both ABS and GMA is at fault kasi eh, they didn't actually focus on football, GMA:merong alitan bet. halfoes and full bloodied pinoys. ABS: Phil and Angel love team! ano ba 'yan! they should promote football instead of bragging on negative issues and love teams!

Do you think that Azkals' popularity and superstardom is turning these local players into ball-hogs? I'm starting to think so.
The ones who play in top foreign leagues are probably used to the media attention and have learned to ignore it so it does not seem to affect their performance on the pitch.
And from what I've noticed, those "ballhogs" seem to mostly be Ian Araneta and Chieffy Caligdong. They're both people who grew up with football and have a lot to lose if they don't live up to expectation.
I mean, Ian's pass eventually led to the second goal against Vietnam in the Suzuki cup 2010, but now he's become a ballhog.
Just my opinion. ;D

I think in my opinion, because of the advent of Fil-foreigners playing in our NT, the reason why Ian is more determined to score than ever is to tell Coach Weiss and the rest of the country that local talents still has what it takes to go toe to toe or compete with our foreign born players when it comes to talent so that Coach Weiss and the rest of the management will not overlook home grown talents when selecting players.

I don't think naman na na overlook yung homegrown talents. Parehas naman sila ng pinagdaanang hirap para mapasama sa National Team. Yun nga lang, talagang superior ang skills nung mga galing sa ibang bansa. If they keep on trying to "prove" themselves, mas mabuti pang ibangko nalang sila dahil nakakasira sila sa team game.

Yup. I guess you guys are right. Even though players have their own individual stat sheet, at the end of the day, what matters most is the team's stats.
