Is everybody ready for the Pacquiao-Marquez fight III next week?
Anyways, here is the final installment of the HBO's 24/7 prefight special(part 3)
Since there is no other place to put individual persons in other sports, I put this here, even though he is not part of the national boxing team, since considering the honor and pride he has brought to our country, I would consider him a national boxing hero representing the best of our national boxing team in the professional ranks, a world figure worth a thread of his own and the greatest athlete the Philippines has ever produced.

I'm 100% sure Pacquiao will win this. I presume local gamblers will bet on the round where Marquez will fall.

It is Pacquaio time tonight. I am surprised nobody is talking about him. I would add more videos here but, Top Rank is very good at shutting them down.

Another controversial win by Manny over Marquez by majority decision. A lot of the Americans here thought Marquez won but the judges saw different making a Pacquiao-Mayweather fight possible for next year.

You guys heard about how Argentinian football ultra fans get violent and start a riot. How about this Argentinian boxing crowd beating up our champion and their corner, after Casimero knocks out the Argentinian Lazarte to win the IBF junior flyweight championship.
The Argentinians should have provided more security considering they have a reputation for violence in other sports.
Argentine fans tend to be sore losers. When Mexican team Chivas de Guadalajara where beating Boca Juniors in Argentina a few years ago, they had to stop the match early because a riot started. Same thing happens in their local domestic matches. The Argentine Barra Bravas have a reputation for violence in South America that is only comparable only to that of British hooligans in Europe.

Pacquiao ponders retiring after Bradley fightAllen V. Estabillo, Philippine News Agency · Monday, February 13, 2012 · 4:15 pm GENERAL SANTOS CITY -– After bidding goodbye to his prized fighting cocks, Manila casino, and entertainment joint here several weeks ago, world boxing sensation and Sarangani representative Manny Pacquiao is now considering hanging up his boxing gloves for good in favor of his faith and “Bible-centered” life. Pacquiao disclosed over the weekend that he is seriously pondering retiring from boxing after his scheduled June 9 World Boxing Organization welterweight title fight against American brawler Timothy Bradley in Las Vegas, Nevada. “Hindi maganda na nagse-share ako ng salita ng Panginoon tapos nananakit ako ng kapwa (It’s not right that I share God’s word and at the same time hurt other people),” he told reporters after gracing the oath-taking of newly-promoted personnel of the Army’s 73rd Infantry Battalion in Maasim town in Sarangani. The neophyte Sarangani lawmaker, who has already earned a sizable fortune from his boxing exploits since his ring debut 16 years ago, said he wants to concentrate more on sharing his faith while at the same time helping his poor constituents. “I’ve gained more than enough blessings these past years so I think it’s time for me to return the favor,” he said in Filipino. Last September, Pacquiao’s promoter Bob Arum was quoted saying that Pacquiao supposedly plans to retire from boxing by the end of 2013 after running for governor of Sarangani province. Pacquiao’s mother Dionesia had asked him several times to quit boxing and just focus on his businesses and budding political career. On the other hand, Pacquiao said he would only retire from boxing once his famed trainer Freddie Roach sees him slowing down. After his controversial unanimous decision win over Mexican nemesis Juan Manuel Marquez last November, Pacquiao was initially reported to have started attending Bible studies through the help of a Protestant pastor. Mayor Reynaldo Constantino of Malungon, Sarangani, a close ally of Pacquiao, earlier said the latter has so far become a “changed man” as a result of his new found passion for studying the Bible. Pacquiao, who made the headlines in the past for his alleged affairs with other women as well as his gambling and drinking habits, has reportedly sold a casino that he operates in a Manila hotel and disposed of his fighting cocks. He also shut down recently his J-Mix restaurant and bar, where he used to treat his friends for drinks and billiard games. Earlier this month, Pacquiao accepted an offer from the Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines to become the Church’s “Bible ambassador.” With his impending retirement, the ring icon’s highly-anticipated showdown with undefeated American champion Floyd Mayweather and fourth face-off with Marquez now appears in limbo. The Pacquiao camp earlier tried to sign up Mayweather for a May 5 brawl but the initial talks eventually went nowhere reportedly due to disputes over shares of the mega-fight’s anticipated earnings. Mayweather decided instead to go with Puerto Rican Miguel Cotto while Pacquiao settled on Bradley for their May and June fights, respectively. www.interaksyon.com/interaktv/pacquiao-ponders-retiring-after-bradley-fight

Wow, what a mess. Even Enrile's getting in on the hype, saying we should recall our ambassador in Argentina. It's nice though that they are apologizing. Maybe they'll send their National Football team over for a friendly against the Azkals as a peace offering. They'll get their taste of winning and we'll simply love the experience. Win-win!

Another champion for us guys. In what is being billed in US sites as the Upset of the Year, Sonny Boy Jaro ko'd longtime flyweight champion and Ring Magazine pound per pound contender Pongsaklek Wonjongkam. The Thai boxer is considered the king of the lighter weight divisions because of his long reign as flyweight king. He was ranked by Ring Magazine at #8 above Tim Bradey and heavyweight champion Klitschko in their top 10 pound per pound rankings. He has won 71 times with only 1 loss since 1996 a lot of them though considered "luto" hometown decisions since he rarely fights abroad. www.fighthype.com/pages/content11903.htmlThere is a long video with highlights of the fight at the bottom of this article.

Caz,
The Argentines are sore losers in football as well and have been known to riot if the game doesn't go their way at home. Ask the Mexicans.

Even Pacquiao has an issue now. He was charged by the BIR
No one is above the law even the prominent people kahit ang Azkals kung proven

I am starting to lose my respect for Manny Pacquiao. He has picked up this habit of suing anyone who criticizes him and I am not referring to Floyd Mayweather. He has sued or threatened to sue other boxers, journalists, and now the BIR for allegedly besmirching his reputation. This from a guy who has aspirations of becoming President. I never thought he would make a good President anyway, because of the shady company he keeps and his inability to say no to them, but add that to the fact that he apparently cannot take criticism is a recipe for disaster. So what if the BIR made a mistake. Does that mean you should start suing them for trying to do their job? This sets a bad precedent for any Filipino who tries to get away with tax evasion. Just sue the government. www.rappler.com/sports/3024-pacquiao-considering-charges-vs-bir-officials
