judging from the link posted above, it seems that lgr is a subcontractor of big name brands here in the country so i'm leaning and agreeing w/ the poster preceding me that they may be the temporary outfitters of our team, so i guess there's still hope for a better kit sometime soon hehe

I certainly hope so. I'm a fan of non-flashy "plain" kits as well and the LGR ones look pretty decent. I just might get one (or two)! I'll be okay with them for this friendly and maybe even the Challenge Cup. But man, we SHOULD have a decent kit provider for the Suzuki Cup later this year. It's touted as the most prestigious tournament of our region and we really should look our best. I'd even be okay with keeping Mizuno as long as our boys are dressed to kill. C'mon Adidas, take a chance. The Philippines could be the one to beat all the Nike-clad teams in South East Asia!

Sorry for the wrong info, but the kit that LGR will be selling later is the UAE tour jersey.

This is the actual kit that will be used later: Here's the supposed kit: If the fans in Rizal will be asked to wear white, this shouldn't be the kit they'll be wearing tomorrow. But... this gets even more interesting. I speculate that LGR Athletic Wears will be the interim (i.e. temporary) kit sponsor for the Malaysia friendly and the Challenge Cup. LGR makes the "Azkals" branded training kits, and the recent kits for the charity matches last January. They have provided the jersey numbers on Mizuno kits. I don't think a branded sponsor ( will it be Puma?) will immediately get in until the end of March, as announced through the tweets of Mike Limpag and Dan Palami. So we'll just be patient then... ...unless they'll put the LGR branding on the kits the team should wear tomorrow and on the Challenge Cup.

Kinda feels like LGR and the PFF are competing for a spot on the right chest, doesn't it? This design could've used some focus group feedback. I like that the flag's on the left chest. I thought we're wearing white later?

I couldn't find the LGR stall or whatever where they were selling the kits. Sigh...

Meh. The uniforms they wore tonight wasn't eyecatching, to say the least. The fabric looks, uh, cheap, as well. The red GK kit was hip-hop cut pa, lulz.

cheapo shirts. meh. etheridge looked like a farmer to me for some reason. unflattering. and the proportions on the logos and markings on the front, are they kidding me? if they are a subcontractor of Nike or Puma or whatever, have they not learned anything from making their kits? seriously, PFF logo, Philippine flag, LGR logo and the number are all fighting for real estate. but hey, they looked presentable. at least it wasn't another horrible Azkals shirt

I asked Mr. Rick Olivares on Twitter regarding the new official outfitter for the Azkals, ang sabi niya wala pa raw. It's still up for bidding.

Does that mean the team is stuck with the LGR kit for the CC? Agh. I'm all for supporting local manufacturers, but at least they should be near or at world-class standards of quality.
