Seriously, there's really no point reviving this thread over and over again as this thread will just become a breeding ground for trolls.
Beside, I believe that finally everyone agrees in one thing, isn't it.
At any rate, it's up to the higher ups and the "Godfather" of Philippine Football to decide.

I think most of the people here who are "defending" Weiss aren't praising his skills per se. It's more of the idea that sacking coaches a few games into their tenure doesn't do a team good in general.

There's two possibilities and I hope one of this happens:
1. DFB realize that Weiss is not right for us and replace him. They're the one paying him.
2. Weiss realize that he is not doing a good job and don't have what it takes to bring the team to the next level and resigns voluntarily.
So in as much as I want the team to do good in Nepal game, a bad performance could turned out to be more positive if one of this things happen.

If Weiss is under DFB payroll and part of the package that we receive from DBF, do we have an option to replace him? or we are force to good.
As how I understand this, he could be part of the package but PFF can still boot him out, look for a better one and PFF will pay that new coach. Or ask DFB to send somebody else coz the current is not working and that new coach will be under DBF payroll...
Enough of that, I hate using Weiss as a scapegoat. What Im really pissed off is, why is Araneta still on the team. The guy probably got worst 1st touch than I do and Im not the best player in town. No composure at all. Why is Weiss sticking out on this guy. Araneta has been the same for the last 6 or 7 games. Scout for a better one

Scout for a better one many people have been saying that talaga. bad 1st touch and bad positioning. nabasa ko pa sinabi niyan sa tweet ba yun o sa interview ata he said "iniintindi ko lang talaga si coach." what he meant about that was not being a starter anymore. borderline malapit na sa hartmann comment.

Sheajane80 :
Actually its not only Araneta. I also can't understand why Weiss also stick it out with Burkey. While I don't with what Mark H. act of posting his sentiments in twitter, I strongly agree with his sentiments. Its very frustrating to see the coach not fielding you when you know that you are very much superior than those being field in specially when you have proven yourself already countless times.

Some points for improvement with respect to our line-up which should have been realized by now:
- Araneta should be out. Misagh Bahadoran should be given his break.
- Gener should retire. It's time for U-23 players shine.
- I don't know about Burkey. He's still young though and he is always available since he now plays in UFL. Maybe proper training and a GOOD COACH will awaken his still dormant potential.
- Additional right wingers should be scouted. The absence of Anton del Rosario and Schrock in the Singapore match made Weiss' make an "unwise" decision of putting Jonsson on RB (which we all know that he's a natural LB). For me, this is one of the factors why Singapore got that 1st goal. Feel free to disagree with me, but for me, with respective to movement inside the pitch there's gotta be distinction between natural lefty from a righty. And besides, James YH also need to rest sometimes. At least now we have Dennis Cagara, Jeff Christaens, and Neckson Leonora in our left flank which we can rotate with Chieffy Caligdong and Ray Jonnson.
- Train and expose the new Central Backs as early as now. If only we have a GOOD COACH, he should seriously be aware that Rob Gier and Borromeo aren't getting any younger. So as early as now, he should really be giving the young defender some quality minutes to play to incrementally increase their experience and gauge their skills to the test while playing along with our veterans.

McMenemy is the best coach we have, and his play might pissed other teams, but it is the real azkals way, defense. That is the real azkals that made us famous and notorious, we are scrappy at defense which is now gone. I dont get it why replace him even Vietnam got him now. Weiss must be replace he has not proven anything and he is not good in rotating players.

Actually, according to Football Manager, Ray Jonsson plays at right back, or at least has done so regularly before in his career. The first goal was due to poor set piece marking.

I do agree with most of your points except trying to get our backline younger(excluding Gener of course). Remember the real goal here is preparing for the Challenge Cup and Suzuki Cup next year. So they'll still be our best bet for those two 'major' tournaments. And given the rarity that our national team gets together we should take advantage of every moment to build cohesion. But the day after our Suzuki Cup campaign ends, let's start investing in our new generation of defenders.

kung aq siguro kots, one adjustment i'd make is make angel permanent striker paired with phil. hindi yung tutulong siya sa depensa. madali kasi siya mapagod.
of all our strikers/wingers who were able to go near the opponent's and be a threat to them it was angel, pwede pa maging penalty kick kung bubugbugin nila sa loob ng box.
