Chants in Football and in UAAP/NCAA are largel different. and please no "DEFENCE! DEFENCE" in football. it ain't basketball. Haha. thanks. Natawa kasi ako doon sa "who let the dogs out" chant sa Panaad e. I mean, to whoever was the leader of that chant, nobody can hear you except for the people immediately around you. And in relation with what you also said, naiirita din ako sa basketball-ization ng ibang aspects ng football.

That's more of a song...not very practical to chant the whole thing And maybe it's just me but I think the song is too "novelty" ... haha I like the "Go Azkals Go" part as a chant though... hahahahaa

comment on the drummers:
looks like na ginawa nilang peryahan ang laban between UFL allstars and the nat'l selection. well walang pumansin sa kanila IMO noong laban, at parang walang pumunta doon para sumama.
wala pa nga ang ultra culture, but let's put in mind that "Who comes first wins".
I therefore suggest a meet up before the match. Sa parking lot ng Rizal.
about the GO AZKALS GO:
its a friggin' novelty song ain't a chant. Let's put in mind that chants are a big difference between songs.
P.S. It is okay to put a song as a chant, but para awa niyo na, ang sagwa ng mga suggestions ng mga iba satin. -_-
EDIT:
Diba kailangan ng volunteerism? Asan pala iyong mga facebook people that want to join the kaholeros?

I'm still hoping "Pilipinas Kong Mahal" would make it to the list. Alam ko marami sa inyo nakokornihan pero pag inisip nyo, it's simple, everybody knows it, it's very patriotic (WWII era), it has an English version ( Philippines my Philippines), and it meets a lot of the criteria! "Subukan mong kantahin magisa ang "You'll Never Walk Alone", corny diba? But if you hear it sung in unison in a stadium filled with ManU fans, it brings goosebumps! Especially if you know its history. The Azkals are our present day warriors, fighting for the honor of our country just like the long line of Filipino warriors that came before them. Let us tap into our patriotism because every match is fought not for the glory of the fans alone but for the glory our nation. It is the Philippine flag on the jersey that Azkals plant a kiss on each time a goal is made. If we cant agree on this then at least suggest one on the same lines of its sentiment. I was thinking it could be sung before matches (esp on home games) to unify fans in a solemn tribute to all who, by their courage, brought honor to the Philippines. But if not o lot of people like it, then I am officially nominating Pilipnas Kong Mahal as "song to be sung at full-time if we've lost" Hello! Not entirely new here in the forum forgot my past username & been reading the suggestions for the chants. I really like this suggestion, singing "Pilipinas Kong Mahal". It's a good one, I could just imagine it sounding good with everyone in the stadium singing. I like most people, if not all, are familiar with this song. It just needs to be refreshed in everyone's mind. Why I think this is a good suggestion for home games: 1. Song is moving & evokes emotions. It's short & easy to memorize because I think people are familiar with the song's melody. 2. Imagine everyone singing this song at the second half of the game (ex: last 10 minutes of the game) or at the end of the game (whether we win or lose). We do not have to follow yung nota na mataas. We can sing it na parang semi-chant (song a little bit faster). If we decide to sing the song at the end of the game, we can ask someone (with a good voice) to lead with a microphone (may media naman that we can perhaps ask for help). Remember sa panaad, may sound system sila pinatugtog ang Pinoy Ako. 3. The lyrics are appropriate actually for the team and players: Ang bayan ko'y tanging ikaw Pilipinas Kong MahalAng puso ko at buhay man Sa iyo'y ibibigayTungkulin kong mpanan Na lagi kang paglingkuranAng laya mo'y babantayan Pilipinas kong Hirang...It's love for country and the Azkals represent our country I hope the Kaholeros will consider this BESIDES this song, I think a chant is needed. I really don't have the talent to make chants but I would like to suggest keywords for the chants: Blue (Jersey of the home game) Azkals Pilipinas Astig Go/Fight/Win or in tagalog Diretso/Laban/? My 2 cents Excited for the games!

It's bad that the PFF is handling the "Ultras group" and not by the fans. It's good in some way but let the fans do the trick. Mas okay kung sila ang mag organize and let the fans do the chanting, somewhat of a facilitator role. Well kung ganito ireng ginawa nila sana mas maayos pa. Well let me point out one thing, napakalaki ng pag-kakaiba ng booster groups sa ultras. And Ultras, nandiyan for support. Ako aaminin ko closet ultra ako, pero upon seeing this bandwagoneers wanting to become an "Kaholero", parang nawala rin ang sense ng name na "ULTRAS KAHOLEROS" Segue: Ang Pilipinas kong Mahal dapat ay isang theme, bale ito ang anthem ng supporters group. parang You'll never walk alone ng Liverpool or Vamos Barca ng mga Cules. BTW: Dudes, sino pupunta sa practice this saturday? Kailangan ba talaga ng mga requirements nila? I have a flag right now, ewan ko lang kung maacept nila ang flag ko as a requirement bilang kaholeros. IMO, you don't need to have an application, better pa kung audition. Ang nangyari kasi sa application process, parang naging "Oh I want to be a Kaholero that's cool" without knowing what's the real deal behind being an Ultra. Dapat inexplain iyan ng Azkals at ng PinoyFootball how to be an ultra. It took one user (Horlicks is the name) to create a "info page" about what's an ultra. Kaunti lang siguro ang bumabasa or they don't care at all. Horlicks is a nice chap IMO to create a page like that. EDIT: added some snippets.

for me, di naman natin kelangan gayahin ang europeans like painting2x face or chant2x or wave2x or ole2x. look at the africans nag vuvu sila. sa atin okay lang naman kahit yung drum and bugle corps sa barangay piyestahan eh with matching uniform and drums. kung ano nasa kultura natin yun gawin natin. tangkilikin ang sariling atin.

Well, chants define football, and if we play a high-stakes football match here in the Philippines and those Ultras of the opposing team comes here, ewan ko lang kung kainin tayo ng mga iyan. I've been at Europe (France to be exact on a trip with my uncle and watching a game of PSG with the great Pauleta still there! 2006 Paris-Bordeaux!) before and believe me, may supporters group kahit maliliit na football team. I can't blame you. And those organizers sa Kaholeros are largely made up of females. But you can't argue with their management skills XD. I have friends who lived at Sydney and Cornwall who have polar opposites of support in football. Well ang aussies have more of a commercial atmosphere in football. Ang mga football fans sa Inglatera and the rest of Asian, arabic and latino countries naman ay may blood relation sa football. Pagka drum and bugle band lang eh, ano to peryahan?

I've been suggesting in vain for chants. We even have some compositions in hand to share and what have we got? They don't give a damn. And what we've got in store sa July 3 eh parang booster squad imbis na ultras as their name implies. I would like to see what would be their effect sa July 3.
