di naman porke't may drum and bugle eh peryahan na agad.eh di kung ganun, peryahan na yung mga basketball games na may drum and bugle squad leading the chant and cheers. just because basketball was mentioned eh aayawan na natin to cos sasabihing ginagawa naman nating basketball tong football because we're not.drum and bugle has been used to lead cheers in other sports din.just go back in time sa hs intramurals niyo. nagmukhang sa basketball lang nanggaling ang cheering led by drum and bugle kasi yan ang fave sport ng mga pinoys hence madalas nilalaro.
the idea here is the chants that we want the fans to learn by heart can be made easier pag may drum beat na sumasagot. ie go pinas 3 syllables hence replied by 3 drumbeats na singbilis nang pagkabigkas nung words. go azkals same goes here. then trumpet rolls wid matching xylo wid matching chikababes holding those thingamajig circles instead of school seal eh pinas flag ang isa then azkals logo ang sa other one. at least we're producing lively music na may beat as compared to random thrash noise ng vuvuzelas. so pag sabihing ano to piyesta? i say, oo piyesta talaga to.we're honoring dan palami the patron saint of pinoy football.hehe.saint?virtue of sacrifice? gastos galing sa sariling bulsa.what miracle has he done to deserve sainthood?he ressurected the dead.sport ha, di tao ang binuhay niya.

for me, di naman natin kelangan gayahin ang europeans like painting2x face or chant2x or wave2x or ole2x. look at the africans nag vuvu sila. sa atin okay lang naman kahit yung drum and bugle corps sa barangay piyestahan eh with matching uniform and drums. kung ano nasa kultura natin yun gawin natin. tangkilikin ang sariling atin. the best reply so far ;D Every national team who joined AFF Suzuki Cup does have an Ultras Group sa stadia na pinaglaruan ng mga koponan, look at those Indonesians and Malaysians who showed their "Garuda Ultras" and those of the "Ultras Malayas" who showed their slogan "If you can't stand by your own colors you better seek another". Well, chants define football, and if we play a high-stakes football match here in the Philippines and those Ultras of the opposing team comes here, ewan ko lang kung kainin tayo ng mga iyan. I've been at Europe (France to be exact on a trip with my uncle and watching a game of PSG with the great Pauleta still there! 2006 Paris-Bordeaux!) before and believe me, may supporters group kahit maliliit na football team. Palibhasa kasi mga kalalakihan ang mga ultras sa ibang bansa, I can't blame you. And those organizers sa Kaholeros are largely made up of females. But you can't argue with their management skills XD. I have friends who lived at Sydney and Cornwall who have polar opposites of support in football. Well ang aussies have more of a commercial atmosphere in football. Ang mga football fans sa Inglatera and the rest of Asian, arabic and latino countries naman ay may blood relation sa football. Pagka drum and bugle band lang eh, ano to peryahan? Naiintindihan ko nararamdaman mo bro dahil may experience ka sa European ultras....dahil ako duringInter games Ultras really spills their guts out in uflifting the team spirit special if they are under a couple of goals.........sa tingin ko pwd naman mag organize ng iba pang ultras group....just like Inter who have at least more than 5 big Ultras group and some small numbers of groups....tingin ko si horlicks at FAJose ang kaparehas natin ng pananaw pag dating sa Ultras( and some other guys here) and no offense meant for the ladies coz it's great na nandyan din sila para sa suporta sa team..

why cant we base some of our chants to the tune of filipino folk songs or nursery rhymes?

philyhsrightboot: Meron akong Salamat ng The Dawn pati ng Pare Ko na chants, pero ewan ko lang kung tatangkilikin nila, I also made one chant by the tune of My Way and the Battle Hymn of the Republic. kikomatsing: I agree with the thing that we have a different culture here. But admit it, Ultras culture is the norm, wala namang masama kung si Horlicks at si faajose ang nag-iingay dito para magkaroon ng chants. They were the trailblazers here IMO. Tinamad nalang siguro si horlicks kakapost dito siguro sa kakaunting enthusiasm sa fan/Ultra Culture. he deleted his account diba? I've been reading his account about what's ultra culture in other countries. his thread about Ultras Culture I believe only accumulated just 15 posts (?). Ang nakikita kong problema sa kanila ay sila ay "funded" ng PFF (well sabi nung isang "kaholero" na ang "kaholeros" are the last at the pecking order of PFF), and not by the fans itself. I volunteered to provide flags and they said that "Your suggestion is not on our gameplan, sorry." Damn, If I am the organizer of that Kaholeros group, I would prepare more of the visuals and not of the drums! more chants and visuals! And I would practice a month before the match, rather than a week after announcement of the practices via email, in which in my opinion really sucks. They should have conducted an impromptu crash course of chants sa facebook page ng Azkals, kahit isang Youtube video man lang.

XD

according to a new post by the Admin at the Azkals page at FB:
"...5.) Posters/Banners/ Signage with any Political Slogans or advertising without the Express Written Approval by FIFA and its local Organizing comittee..."
Oh I see, the fans are prohibited talaga to bring their paraphernalias. At first place SANA NAGTANONG SILA SA MGA TAO KUNG SINONG INTERESADONG GUMAWA NG GRUPO. Tapos ang PFF nalang ang nag-ayos ng mga approval ng FIFA in behalf of those groups. Indeed minadali ang preparations sa fan aspect.
Ganun kaya sa ibang bansa, every ultras group applied for registration and recognition by their respective clubs or national teams. Tapos kung meron silang wing visuals eh they will just inform the club or committte that "Hey man we have a tifo coming up, let's discuss the plan."

"Go Azkals" signs are most likely allowed, and to prohibit them in a sporting event would be insane.

I just want to express my opinion on the Kaholeros' "chants" that I found on youtube.
"Offsiiiiiiide!" or "Red Caaaaaaard!" are NOT CHANTS. They're plain TAUNTS, and I think they are very unsportsmanlike.
"Chants" should cheer on the team, not provoke the opponent.

Out of curiosity, is there any other team in the world with chants/taunts like these? Looking past that, I believe if these cheers are set will be difficult to get the crowd to cheer alongside. Although I do have share some sentiments, disagreements and doubts of some of the posters here I really do appreciate the time and effort given by the Kaholeros. I hope they upload the videos of the chants soon.

I still think the kaholeros deserve credit for their effort. But like the Azkals themselves, we are still new to this football-chanting business and have a lot to learn, and what these kaholeros are doing is a great start to the learning process.
