Hmm... does EA consider Asia a big, big market? If so I guess they think having the Premier League is enough for that market. They consider Mexico an even bigger market than South America that's why the Mexican league features since the 2005 edition while the Argentine league hasn't been included yet (just River Plate and Boca Juniors), even when I always have wanted to play a Libertadores >.<. With National teams is the same... how many Filipinos buy the game? enough to make EA push for the NT rights?

Maybe they'll have the Philippines in the Australian (or Singaporean; whichever EA has their offices at) version? IIRC, localized versions of FIFA have teams in their area of market.

IIRC, localized versions of FIFA have teams in their area of market. i dont think they would do something like that. all FIFA games released around the world have the same content except for the language settings like arabic or whatever language they release it on. IIRC the only difference between a US copy, European copy, and Australian copy is the cover. then they released FIFA 12 in arabic with arabic comentary.

WTF?! The FIFA 13 Wikipedia article is HILARIOUS! "FIFA 13... Andy Carroll (titled FIFA Soccer 13 in North America) is the twentieth game in Electronic Arts' FIFA series of association football video games." "FIFA 13 Controversy The game was accidentally released in full on the 3rd March 2012 by Buzz Lightyear who took a secret copy of the game to Lesotho where he attempted to sell it to the people of Lesotho but unfortunately, nobody in Lesotho has a games console." "Julio Arca Mode Making it's first appearance in the FIFA franchise will be the 'Julio Arca Mode' which is also known in some sections of Middlesbrough as 'God Mode'. In this game mode, playing as Julio Arca of Middlesbrough F.C., players can attempt to beat every single team on FIFA with the best player on the game, Julio Arca. Whilst playing as Julio, players can also boost all his stats to 99 at any point in the game, in an attempt to create realism." "Goal Celebrations New goal celebrations such as the 'John Terry Special' will be included, where the player invites the wife or girlfriend of the opposition players onto the pitch after scoring with John Terry and proceed to shag the opposition players' wife or girlfriend." The National Team list has been removed too. Oh Wikipedia...

I think this thread ended when someone posted a wiki link. Though if you wait 2 more years until the 2014 World Cup video game, I'm sure the Philippines will be in it. Provided that they do what they did with the 2010 game, where all teams that participated in the qualifying games are included in the game. Then, you'd actually have a chance to captain the country towards the finals.

Oh really? I've been ignoring the World Cup game all the while. If the Philippines will be in it I'll definitely purchase it!

^ yup! was really disappointed that the Philippines didn't participate in 2010's qualifying. we were like the only asian team (or I don't know) that wasn't in the game.
it would have been nice because there was an achievement to be earned for taking a one-star rated team (most likely) to the finals

The Azkals or the Philippine team will be in the 2014 Brazil World Cup by EA Sports. The Philippine only missed the bus in the 2010 South Africa version because we were in oblivion that time, but now that we even surpassed the first round of the 2014 World Cup, we definitely are going to be included in the 2014 EA Sports release of the FIFA World Cup video game.
As for the FIFA video game every year also by EA Sports, I highly doubt the Philippines would be included. Football in our country is simply a mile away from the prestige and global appeal of football gamers from which the bulk of the market are mostly from the Americas, Europe and East Asia. They would not care including the Philippine team in the roster of countries unless a remarkable change happen that million gamers would be coming from the Philippines and that our team would at least reached the 100th ranking barrier.
Hintay na lang tayo sa FIFA 2014 Brazil Word Cup video game by EA Sport.

There is this guy named kanoy who creates the Azkals and uploads it to Creation Centre. You can download the team there, and it's up-to-date. Very well done.
