patino is a very skilled striker, but what can we do with a skilled striker.if our build up is so messy that the ball cant even cross the half way line??? change the coach cause patino attacking skill would be useless if we are still under coach weiss wing. labo labo style wouldnt help us even though we got a skilled striker. That is a very good observation. Im there with you on it. But i dont want to blame it to a coach. The real problem is, in football kasi a team needs to play together for a long long time so that the offense can be as fluid as it can be. This is the backfire of having europe based players, like Javier Patiño just coming months/weeks/days before the game, you cant have them play/train/develop connection with the rest of the team in such a short time. Perfection of a strategy is not a factor of who's the coach. It also considers harmony and team play between players. This is the reason why we see the best european national teams pick most of their rooster from one top flight club/team (ex. Spain = Barca, Germany = Bayern) because they have played together na. Sana we have a very good (FINANCIALLY) domestic leagues so that our europe players like Javier, will consider making their earnings here. In that way, always na sila mag train for future tournament hehhee!

that's why I like the initial idea of just calling a maximum of three Euro -based players as too many of them will disrupt the harmony of the plays being practiced and simulated by local - based players for months before the actual tournament occurs.

Don't fully understand Tagalog, but I think I have the gist of what you're saying... About Chelsea and Di Matteo... I thought the only reason why he went out was because Abramovich wanted his prize toy, Torres, to perform better; not because they crashed out of the CL + other losses/ties lol. The Benitez/Di Matteo stuff will forever be a part of football history though. As for the UFL and investors, only way to advertise oneself to investors is to put one's self out there. That won't happen when the UFL is based only in Manila. If the UFL can't expand by itself, the PFF has to affiliate with them. More importantly though, the local clubs have to request to join the UFL. When these happen, the investors will start coming out. Another alternative is to copy the J-League model.

Araneta said more Fil-foreigners are applying to join the Azkals and the PFF welcomes their addition. “We’re building depth because we’re never sure who can play given international commitments,” he said. “One player we’re hoping to enlist is Fil-Spanish Javier Patino, a striker from FC Cordova. If he can get his Philippine passport before the Jan. 31 deadline, we could line him up for the Challenge Cup qualifiers in March.” www.philstar.com/sports/2012/12/30/891451/2012-review-football-back-marquee-status
If he failed to have passport before Jan 31, then we won't see him in Challenge Cup. But still doubtful about his availability since Cordoba has games on that week.

unless cordoba wants to gain media mileage having an international playing on their club, they will give patino a chance to don that azkals jersey for the CC.
