The PHI team will leave Dubai for Manila around mid-day local time. Both Etheridge and Wolf would join the squad to Manila for the Malaysia friendly, but will come back to England and Germany to continue with their club duties before heading out back to Manila on the 27th or 28th.

Dubai Pinoys give Azkals rock star treatmentAlfonso Ramirez, InterAKTV · Thursday, February 16, 2012 · 10:30 pm DUBAI — Members and coaching staff of the Philippine national men’s football team faced a busy Wednesday, the morning after arriving from Doha where they won their friendly match against Qatar Star League first division club Al Ahli SC. Now minus German-Filipino goalkeeper Roland Mueller who had to report back to his Bundesliga second division club, MSV Duisburg, and fan favorites James and Phil Younghusband who flew back to Manila to attend to prior commitments “that couldn’t be rescheduled,” the Azkals plunged into a noon practice at the Al Maktoum Stadium practice pitch immediately after making an appearance at The Philippine School in Al Rashidiya, also in Dubai. The Azkals welcomed its number one goalkeeper, Neil Etheridge who also arrived in Dubai on Tuesday after he was cleared by his club, Fulham, to join the national team’s training camp. An estimated 200 grade school students of The Philippine School mobbed the Azkals in a morning pep rally organized by the team’s Middle East tour organizer, Mediapro. “We had a similar thing in Doha. It was really awesome. I’d say, it’s like the Beckhams coming to the school,” Chris Bayliss, project coordinator of Mediapro, told InterAKTV. Azkals vice-captain Chieffy Caligdong introduced the members of the team with Etheridge, Angel and Juanito Guirado, and Misagh Bahadoran receiving the loudest applause, as wide-eyed grade schoolers tried to press onto the stage to ask for the national footballers’ autographs. Augustus Xavier Alparce, a Grade 7 student who is also a member of the school’s football team, said the Azkals visit will further inspire him to make good in the sport. “Pagbubutihin ko po ang paglalaro para sana balang araw maging Azkal rin po ako,” Alparce said. After practice, the Azkals motored to the Jebel Ali International Shooting Club to call on Sheikh Saeed Bin Maktoum Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, a member of Dubai’s ruling family. Al Maktoum, a world champion shooter, represented the UAE in skeet shooting in the 2000, 2004 and 2008 Olympics in skeet shooting. He also participated in the 2006 Asian Games in Doha and 2007 Pan Arab Games. The sheikh, who was practicing his shots, shot a perfect practice record of 125 out of 125 in the lead up to his participation in July’s London Olympics. With the Azkals tour coming to an end it was an inspirational meeting that will live long in the memory for the players and coaching staff. “The visit was incredible. I will use it now again and again as a reminder to the boys, when things aren’t going so well, to see a man who has everything, all this wealth, who can rest the whole day, who can have pleasure if he wanted to, can be so disciplined. It’s just incredible, fantastic, I can’t find the words,” Azkals coach Hans Michael Weiss said. “There are many characters in this team who use their head in a very good way and they will find this visit fantastic for sure, they will find it very motivating also.” Aside from shooting, Al Maktoum, who also owns the Al-Shabab Al Arabi Football Club discussed football with the Azkals players. Midfielder Jason de Jong said: “We are really thankful for this opportunity and it has been a great experience. His dedication and passion for sport is clear to see and we can learn a lot from him.” The Azkals are set to go up against Qantas Australia Under-23 team in their third friendly match to cap their 10-day Middle East tour. www.interaksyon.com/interaktv/dubai-pinoys-give-azkals-rock-star-treatment

Letter from Pinoy Futbol Club President
This is to express our admiration and gratitude to the Philippine Azkals for giving honor and pride to our country. Your presence here in the U.A.E. greatly boosted the Filipino morale and awakened our desire and passion for football. You still have a long way to go to reach the pedestal of greatness but this small and steady step is just the beginning of your great journey towards our nation’s dream to be put in its proper place in the world of football.
We/I would like to thank the Philippine Team for spending time with the fans despite the limited duration of stay in the U.A.E. We treasure the memories of having a wonderful moment with you and some privileged fans over a cup of coffee, sharing precious time during dinner prepared by Pinoy Football Club members and their families. But above anything else, by letting the PFC became part of your trusted aide during the team’s entire stay here. Moreover, we appreciate the friendly match between PFC players and Philippine Azkals coaching staff headed by Team Manager Dan Palami. We in the PFC are deeply honoured and humbled by the fact that this opportunity sometimes comes once in a lifetime. We are very proud to be part of your journey, to assist and support you all the way. If given an ample time, we could have planned and provided you more assistance, and played a significant role as a hospitable and generous host during the team’s stay in the U.A.E., particularly in Dubai.
On behalf of the Filipino fans in the U.A.E., we would like you to know that the Filipino communities here are very proud of the Azkals team. There are a lot of fans who watched the match for the first time live. Some of them do not have any idea about the rules and regulations; some came out due to curiosity. But surprisingly, they loved the game, enjoyed it, and supported it. All of these are the manifestation of the overwhelming support of our people from the start by singing our national anthem, by cheering at the top of their lungs during the game, and by staying in the football pitch even after the game had ended. All the fans stood up in ovation and clapped their hands to show respect. And we salute you for making the Filipinos a proud people once again. We don’t mind you lost the game but what matters most is you showed to the opponent and to the Filipino people that in every game you always give a good fight, a never surrender attitude/spirit of a true Filipino.
Win or lose, the Filipino fans will stand firm behind you and will always shout “Go GO Azkals!” This is our affirmation that we share the battle cry “LIVE THE DREAM, WE BELIEVE.” MABUHAY ANG PHILIPPINE AZKALS, MABUHAY ANG PILIPINAS!!!
Alex C. Grande President Pinoy Futbol Club

Tajikistan's enemies info 1. FC Nistru is currently ranked 6th of 12 in Moldovan National League (1st Division) 2. Shurtan is currently ranked 7th of 14 in Uzbek Premier League (1st Division) Both teams are in the middle of the league. Do Tajikistan have another enemy before their clash against PRK? So they have new coach? But I'm confident we'll win against TJK

I think Kuwait is stronger than Oman and we did better against Kuwait. If we have Schrock like we did against Kuwait, I think we have a good chance.

IND will play vs AZE in Dubai tonight at 9:30pm Manila Time This is their final friendly before the AFC Challenge Cup.
Let's see what will happen tonight. By the way, if they lose, they will move down in FIFA World Rankings.
Recent Matches: AZE vs SIN 2-2 IND vs OMA 1-5
*Singapore might be better than India if India lose to Azerbaijan but if drew, they were equal and if win, IND is better than SIN ;D just a thought hehe
