To football experts in this forum what do you think is the best strategy in the 2nd half knowing that we are up 2 goals?
should azkals stay back and wait for counter attack opportunities or continue the attacking mindset which we all hate from the tactics of coach Wiess...

Watching at home. Ok, half time and the Azkals looking much better in this match 2-nil up. Wolf scored the second goal in the 44th minute after great buildup play between Guirado who passed to PYH, who stabbed at it causing the keeper to only be able to push it out, collected by Wolf who nailed it in. Where was the Al Haliy defense? The Azkals had the run of the field on this one, their defense was woeful, the keeper really can't be faulted on this one. All credit to Guirado, who is having the best game I have seen him play for the Azkals with some sweet passes, as well as the alert play of PYH and Wolf to follow up.
So far, we have seen very disciplined play by the Azkals, effectively running the trap in defense, with very strong positional play often times exhibiting the 4-4-2 formation with great precision. I think the best part of the game so far has been the defense. Sabio had a great block in the 15th minute, and has been very controlled in his play on defense - a player who I felt really needed to step up to be able to compete at this level. Also very strong has been Angel Guirado's brother Juanb Luis, who I feel has been very strong in controlling his area. Finally, De Jong has been a powerful presence in the back, not taking any shyte from the Qatari players, and really giving it back with interest to the Arab players. Great job overall by the defense, who have shown much more organization and concentration in their play in this match.
Finally, I have to give a vote of great appreciation for the Filipinos in attendance at the game. Their constant vocal support is really putting the hosts to shame. They are well and truly the 12th man tonight!

If I were Weiss I would switch to a somewhat more conservative 4-5-1 with more emphasis on controlling the midfield, and thus trying to limit mid field creative play by the Qataris. I believe if the Qataris have to resort to the long ball, we will effectively win the game with the so-far strong showing of our back 4.

Final whistle and I have to say the Azkals looked much better here. Much more organized on defense in this match, with great effort by the midfielders to get back and support the defense, but I felt the offense of Al Ahli was not nearly as strong as Incheon, CF Internationale, or Uzbekistan. We still have work to do on defense, but tonight seemed to be a solid step in the right direction.

Philippines played better than what happened during the Uzbekistan game. The defense is better, courtesy of Ray Jonsson. Midfield is closely organised. Strikers looking frustrated.
Man of the match: Denis Wolf, aside from having his first goal for the Azkals, he gave the defense a difficult time.

Man of the Match is Lexton Moy. Thank you Hans Michael Weiss for that very logical substitution. #smh
The guys played really well, this should be a lesson that fielding players at right positions bears fruits though not all the time but atleast they can play their best. Guys missed a lot of chances but good to see the counters we usually don't see with our NT. Glad of the adjustments made by the team, UZB was an inspiration. Good win baby.

Man of the Match is Lexton Moy. Thank you Hans Michael Weiss for that very logical substitution. #smh What a bull move putting a sub in injury time, for no reason! This coach... My choice for MotM is Angel. Played excellent, got very physical with the opponents, crisp passes, contested all balls close to him, went back on defense, all around great effort tonight. If only he can do it every match... Just dont make him take penalty kicks. observation: there is no one better in the Azkals than Jason Sabio in last second sliding tackles. His timing is impeccable. Not Gier, not Juani and dare I say, not Aly. Wow.
