(allocated to the grandstand for security reasons) WT eff??!! are our OFW, DH, immigrants, professionals etc.(not to mention a vast majority are females), there, riot risk like English or other European fans? I'd be angry but I'm laughing from the absurdity of it all. Oh wait! Maybe the 300 Singaporean fans might assault all the female fans if they lose?
Thank you vimjonk for your post on Singapore. I'll admit I have no knowledge of their team except for Alexander Duric. Back to fanboy mode, my 4-4-1-1 NeilE/RMueller Lucena-----OliverP------AlyB------Cagara Schrock JamesYh---------Chieffy PaulMulders Angel PhilYh Roland regularly faces better players than HK, Taiwan or even Singapore with MSV Duisburg, he can hang here. Lucena and Cagara in their natural positions. Schrock is where he last played against Kuwait(from what I remember, he has the liberty of attacking when given a chance). OliverP(this will be contraversial) at CB if Gier is not around. We've all seen how the offense goes if JYh isn't around. Plus he'll be around top tiered players with speed and saavy in Schrock, Lucena and Cagara plus the veteran Captain AlyB. Yah I know its a stretch, don't argue, show me your take...ADD: Easy communication, Mueller(if he starts) Schrock Oliver and Cagara(yes, he does speak German, dunno bout Lucena), all speak German. Angel plays higher better to distribute to Chieffy or Phil, close enough to be a header threat or with his foot. They are used to this formation and fairly simple.

Just like I've mentioned in my previous post, Guirado should be fielded the same way as Singapore's Duric, and not as an overall jack-of-all-trade attacking-defending midfielder (which is the main reason why he alway runs out of gas). Trust me, if you want Guirado to regain his "Spanish killing instinct" then play him in his correct and optimal position. It'll free some space for Phil Y to operate too. agree. add chippy whom they'll surely guard also this time.

No Noh Alam Shah? I like him more than Duric, to be honest.

Singapore NT also have their own Super Lolo. They're really have their revenge after the Suzuki Cup last year and I think we're going thru this game because unlike last year, we're having a very strong line-up against them this friday

Subs. Muller, Mark Hartmann, JC, De jong, Ott i think coach Weiss won't hesitate to sub players anymore... ;D With this depth of talented players... the practice scrimmages are worth to watch in RMC before Nepal game.

I agree with you. Guirado is more effective playing higher up and nearer the opposing third where his abilities can be put to better use. He ended up playing deep in the LTC and I agree with slayermoonlight, Guirado is not suited to play as a box-to-box midfielder. Though in LTC I think that was because the regulars in central mid weren't around and they had to make do with what they got. But with the Euro based players present to fill in the central midfield slots, coach has the option to play Guirado higher up the pitch. With Schroeck, Lucena, Ott, Mulders and Cagara available, I prefer they use a 4-2-3-1. Schroeck and Mulders/Lucena/Ott as the double pivot with Chieffy, JYH and Guirado as the midfield 3 and PYH lone striker. Alternatively, if coach wants to "rest" Phil, he could go with Chieffy, JYH and Mulders as the midfield 3 and Guirado as striker. If Chieffy isn't 100% fit, JYH, Guirado and Mulders midfield 3 and PYH up top with Guirado on the wing and Mulders as CAM. I prefer this formation as the double pivot provides more cover for the defense which will be tested for sure and the 4 banks is more evenly distributed to facilitate better coverage of the pitch. It is flexible and when pinned back the 2 wingers can drop back to have a more compact shape and it becomes in essence a 4-4-1-1

That's called the Marina bay floating platform. Notice the road in between the grandstand and the field - that's part of the F1 track! This is the stadium: Jalan Besar From what i gather, it has fifa 2 star artificial turf - thats the best rating Fifa gives. So it has an excellent surface. Fast conditions, small dimension field. I guess we'll have a good match!
