Maybe Ian is better as a centre forward with 2 playmakers behind him.
Playmakers can take out 2 defenders with their skills nd maybe then they can pass it to Ian for a finish?

That explains why Phil grabbed the ball from James to take the penalty, hehe. I may be mistaken but as soon as the penalty was called I saw James grab the ball right away as he looked pretty eager to take the penalty and get on the score sheet too, and while the Lankans were arguing with the ref, the Azkals looking pleased with the decision, the two brothers appeared to be arguing over who was going to take the spot kick. Phil grabbed it from his older brother who looked pissed off and walked away. Now we know why, hahahaha!!

the 3rd goal by Guirado was probably the best goal Azkals scored in a while...

Let us not try to post many game videos of the Azkals because the Kuwaitis are starting to gather information on the Azkals now! The Kuwaitis will get videos one way or another. LOL! That's just fine. The Azkals have videos of the Kuwaitis as well. Weiss said so. ;D

egarding game 2 vs sri lanka "Weiss, though, believes the team could have scored more goals had it not been for some ‘selfish plays’ by some players."

Please don't hate me, Araneta fans... I used to be an Araneta fan but Ian loses composure during scoring opportunities. I'm starting to wonder if he goes "bahala na" when he takes shots. He's probably more effective as an attacking midfielder.

He got all the pass alrght...from the midfield and wings. but he blew every chance that was given. Im sorry but i got disappointed by Ian, not passing the ball to open team mates who can take the shot.

There wer 3-4 chances when Ian and Chiffy couldve made an extra pass rather than taking the shot. I saw J.younghusband yelling for that extra pass but both players opted to shoot. Sometimes this things mess up team chemistry on & off the field.

Ian is really trying hard to prove himself that he is a reliable attacker but in the end he just dissapoint. But also was phil, the 2 first shots he made would be more fruitful if He only passed the ball to his brother who is rushing in the middle.

bnchzt, locotes and royg - agree with your observations. I guess its hard for them esp Ian bec they need to prove a lot. But they have to be reminded that teamwork is very crucial. Performance isn't only based on the score sheet, look at James who showed good form during the game.

Performance isn't only based on the score sheet, look at James who showed good form during the game. I think James is the most consistent player in the team. He jocks position and just keep the ball handler a hard time. You notice him on the field even if he doesnt have the ball. I recall the coach saying "if Phil could be as hardworking as his brother, we wont have a problem".
