So, is it only gonna be JYH and Angel Guirado who's gonna be suspended? or there's still another one? I hope not coz this suspension somehow lowered our offensive side. But anyway, i hope whoever takes their place will step up. just like what happened with AUS U23 match. we didn't have Phil and James in that match but the boys stepped up. I believe the coach will place Angeles and Moy in midfield because he has been grooming these 2 in that position ever since the friendly matches.. and I have observed that Moy and Angeles have chemistry. Since JYH can't play i think it would be better to place Mulders in his position since it's his natural position. He is an attacking MF in ADO den Haag. We can't rely solely on Phil in the attacks because for sure he would be marked. And Mulders can provide that extra attacking effort and pinpoint crosses. Moy's work rate and Angeles' confidence in the midfield has already been shown in their friendlies. I hope they would also show it come game day. Chieffy's not fit yet so it's better to start Misagh in his place. He can substitute in the late minutes. I would go for a 4-5-1 in this Turkmenistan match. Good Luck to our boys on Friday!! I BELIEVE we can Win this All the way!! The roster of Shanks608 is the first 11 that I have been looking for. In fact this is what I thought the rest would sight as well. - Chiefy has to be replaced; he is not his usual self and seems a bit rusty still. In an important game we need a 100% healthy player that cannot be outplayed and out hustled most of the time like Chiefy last time out. Misagh Bahadoran showed dribbling skills and was ready to show his wares when given the time to play against India, I think he is the closes that can relieve the quality of Chiefy at the LW and can play sweet music with Phil YHB in the box. - I saw Jason De Jong's name from the others as replacement. The Dutch man look intimidating and solid at midfield but if you closely watch him, he is not as sharp and not as an effective blocker as Lexton Moy. Last time against Malaysia and Australia, I thought Moy complimented well our back-four defending the incoming ball in the box. With this predicament, this is what I believe should be the role adjustment on the pitch. Bahadoran to replace Caligdong at LM Mulders to move up a bit at the mid to take A. Guirado's post. Angeles to take JamesYHB post at the RM Juani Guirado to take Mulders post at CM Moy to take Juani’s post as a DM

Angeles to take JamesYHB post at the RM Juani Guirado to take Mulders post at CM Moy to take Juani’s post as a DM I watched(admittedly in spots) the Malaysia game, India and all of the Taj game earlier and while I agree with the personnel in this lineup, the one thing that those games I watched and this formation is different is just that, the formation. All those games we were successful because of one thing, defense. Our formation got tighter the more they were pushed back towards our goal. Whoever designed it, used it to lock down/crowd the center thereby funneling attacks to the side/wings, by the time the attacker got to the wings the CB is in front of the attacker with the CM/DM close by AND the Wing Back closing in from his overlap. Defensive lockdown. Watch it when replay is avail, its pretty nice to see it so effective in the hands of the "lowly" Azkals! The above formation looks to be more designed for the attack than for defense. Turkmenistan is a clearly superior team than India and possibly of Malaysia and Tajikistan. If we again insist on attacking a strong team like that, we'll have games like Kuwait and Singapore(circa 2011). With top players in JYh and Angel gone, defense is more important as these 2 guys are/were a tower of offense but unavailable. Subs Moy, JdJ are more defensive oriented anyway. Just an opinion, Paul Mulders is the only high caliber offensive weapon we have now(mid playmaker). I'd leave him at CAM, a position he plays, to maximize his abilities and use either Marwin, Misagh or Moy at one of the wings. I'm sure the coach will continue to use his 4-2-3-1/4-5-1.

4-2-3-1 Formation, Pivot on Mulders, Angeles and Moy. In my opinion we should be more cautious against Turkmenistan and assign Mulders as one of the DM partnered with Juani Guirado. He will play pivot with Moy and Angeles and switch when needed. I place Moy as CM because of his work-rate and continuous pressing. With Moy's pressure we could release Angeles from the right to create or Misagh from the left hugging the touch-line to stretch the defense. Either way as long as we could win the ball early Wingbacks such as Jonsson could overlap and still be protected with Juani and Mulders/Moy. Again we need PYH to be clinical because of lesser chances we could make. The key here is to win the ball early and be organize in the middle.

Knowing the enemy is half the battle won.
Turkmenistan - FIFA code TKM. The team is nicknamed Green Men. Current FIFA ranking is 166, with a highest achieved rank at 86 in 2004. Founded in 1992, they played their first match vs. kazakhstan on Jun 1, 1992.
2012 Challenge Cup
Turkmenistan 3 - 0 Maldives Turkmenistan 0 - 0 Palestine Turkmenistan 3 - 0 Nepal
At the Asian Games in Guangzhou, 2010, TKM hammered Vietnam, 6-2 and drew 1-1 against Bahrain. Although this was a U-23, per Asian Games rule, it could be assumed that TKM should have most of those same players in the squad playing at the Challenge Cup today.
At the 2010 Challenge Cup in Sri Lanka, TKM drew with North Korea 1-1 at the group stage, and won 1-0 to both India and Kyrgyztan, to qualify to the knock-out phase.
TKM won the semi-final versus Tajikistan, 2-0 to set-up a finals meeting with North Korea. Once again, TKM - North Korea ended a 1-1 draw, leading to a penalty shoot-out, which TKM loses 4-5 leaving the Green Men as runners-up.

Yung Turkmenistan parang hindi lang nagkakalayo sa Indonesia. I think may chance tayo if PH Players will give their best & take all chances effectively.

Since James and Angel are suspended, I'd go with:
------------Etheridge------------
Carli----Gier--------Sabio----Ray
---------Mulders/Moy---Juani---------
De Jong-----Moy/Mulders---------Misagh/chieffy
------------Phil-----------------
De Jong started out as a winger early in his career I believe, so I think he can still do a good job there.

Not only is your favorite team, composed of non Filipinos, they can't play football either!! At least they can play "long ball". But Tajiks’ coach says PH has ‘no chance’By Cedelf P. Tupas Philippine Daily Inquirer KATHMANDU—There’s one person who isn’t a fan of the Philippine Azkals’ playing style in the AFC Challenge Cup here. After watching his team get the boot from the Philippines Tuesday, Tajikistan’s Bosnian coach Kemal Alispahic quickly dismissed the Azkals as a title contender in the tournament the Tajiks won in 2006. “No chance,” Alispahic told a couple of Filipino reporters Sunday night at the Everest Hotel where the teams playing in Group B are billeted. “Turkmenistan is very good. The Philippines do not play football.” Alispahic, who speaks little English, even went to the extent of gesturing hand signals to illustrate that the Tajiks are supremely above the level of the Filipinos in football. The Bosnian coach, who is only 20 days into his job with the Tajik national team, didn’t give the Azkals credit for the win, saying his squad beat themselves. “My players were tired,” said Alispahic, whose squad took a first half lead, before yielding two to the Azkals in the second half. “It would have been different if we had more rest.” Alispahic took a swipe at the Azkals’ defensive and counter-attacking style: “The Philippines only knows how to play long balls.” Azkals coach Michael Weiss said the Azkals are only starting to pick up their rhythm what with players coming in and out of the squad because of club commitments. “We cannot play Barcelona football, but we can play very well tactically-disciplined football,” said Weiss in reference to the Spanish club, considered as the best team in the world because of its superb passing game and goal-scoring abilities. sports.inquirer.net/37829/but-tajiks%E2%80%99-coach-says-ph-has-%E2%80%98no-chance%E2%80%99

Another team is downplaying us. Let's show them Azkals power so that he will eat his words.

smh... why deviate from the game plan that has been working? Its like coach Phil Jackson saying, 'well, since we're winning all the time now, lets do away with the triangle offense and do something else!' What is going on, coach??!!??
Here's what Palami said: Palami added: “We now have a system that somehow works for us – more of defensive but quick to pounce on offensive opportunities. I think if we stick to that kind of game, considering players that are here, then we stand a good chance of going to the finals and that is always the dream that we wanted to achieve,” Palami said.Sounds like they have deviated minds with this Turkmenistan game. But, maybe Weiss was just saying that to throw off the Turkmeny squad? I dont think they'll deviate much to what they are doing.

Indeed why change a system that works. If he reverts to the pre Dubai system of pushing forward without regards to maintaining defensive organization, it will be a step backwards and will probably result in a loss.
