www.globalfc.ph/news/do-or-die-global-faces-pahangDo or Die: Global Faces Pahang All eyes will be at Philippine Sports Stadium as Global FC flirts with destiny when it take on Pahang FA in a crucial do or die match in the AFC Cup group G Wednesday night. The People's Club has had a mixed campaign in the AFC Cup posting three loses, a draw, and a maiden win against Yadanarbon to go third place with four points. A win against Pahang on Wednesday will see Global advance to the round of 16 by virtue of the head-to-head. Their last meeting with the Malaysians ended in a surprise scoreless draw last March at Stadium Darul Makmur despite Pahang dominating the match. Coach Leigh Manson has labelled the match as the biggest match in the history of the club. The Scottish coach had already led Global to a title-decider and two cup finals in the UFL. "This is the biggest game we are in," said Manson. "We can get to the next round if we win against Pahang." Global come to the match with some of the players feeling injuries, but Manson will not have any excuses to go for the win. "We'll have a fitness tonight to see (who is inujured)," said Manson. "(I will have) no excuses, we are going for the win. Manson also bared that should they win against Pahang, it will have a much needed boost for Philippine football. "It's an enormous match, imagine all the big clubs that will miss out (if we qualify)," said Manson. "That says so much about the strength of Global."

FREE ADMISSION! unfortunately this was cancelled as our friends from turks wasnt able to leave/ travel out from their country That is just what I posted on the previous link from Global FC facebook. Maybe with the 7-1 drubbing that the UFL All Stars took from the Azkals, they didn't think it worthwhile to travel here.
