Im sorry but im late in any news....what happen to the Younghusband brothers???are they kept for the asean cup???and also guirado what happen??? They are withheld from the squad in the Peace Cup due to alleged commitment issues (off-field activities of YH and their economic demands)... As per coach Weiss, he told the YH bros that "anything else remains to be seen after the Peace Cup." As for Guirado, he is currently playing for Salgaocar FC in the India league, and based on the team's sched on November, the Indian club will have its hands full. so there's a big Question mark. thanks...sayang gusto ko pa naman magpares si wolf at si A. Guirado sa front.....

Ian Araneta might score against weaker teams but against stronger ASEAN teams that will be tough on him. The game against Guam is his best chance in this tournament. If he lays eggs in this tourney it is safe to say he is only good for domestic league.

LOL looks like we have to depend on Wolf and Ian this time... Midfield (Chieffy, Marwin and Riechelt most notably) will surely be offense-minded.
Here we go!

Exciting indeed. and this game is a huge statement for the Azkals sans their superstars. That slowly and surely, they can secure victories in front of the homecrowd.
Lexton Moy, and Demit Omphroy clearly helped us seal this one, not to mention Christaens tireless effort at the wings. Tho de Jong looked a little bit shaky as a centre back. Araneta? what can i say..nothing. And Wolf looked better as a playmaker in the mid attacking field rather than a striker.
We still lack finish, the possession and team chemistry is quite impressive, several chances in our through balls, but again the finishing was only exemplified by Porteria.

Lots of wasted chances, lacked quality in finishing. We should have scored more given how long we had possession and Guam's lack of motivation in winning the ball back. Good to see that we now have a good passing game, congrats to the Rizal Memorial groundskeepers for making it possible with the well-prepared pitch.

We were like playing around outside the penalty box against Guam, just waiting for a finisher. Wolf (weak shots) and Araneta (??) again failed to prove us wrong. Only OJ Porteria proved to scare the goalkeeper.

Araneta messed up lots of chances. cannot even begin how and why. Gigil na gigil kasi. Dennis Wolf lacked finish, he always seemed hesitant and scared. no power in his shots at all.

maybe the gigil factor really affects the game of Araneta, he is very desperate to score a goal for us but the problem is he is no longer the Araneta that we've seen before

Did anybody record the game? I want to see if I look good on TV hahahaha. I was beside the kaholeros so I think there's a chance that my presence was caught on TV.
From what I observe, Wolf is quite slow. And hesitant too; once he was in the box, and everybody thought he'll kick the ball towards the goal but decided to dribble some more before kicking it.
Wow, Sacapano did well ah.
And how much was the ticket? I was able to come in to the venue without a ticket. Not a grandstand seat, but still, the view was very great from where I sat.

Yes the hesitation of Wolf is clearly apparent..i think he is not capable of long range shots thats why he always wants to go nearer and nearer till there's no space left. Remember he scored his lone goal thru a header. And aside from that what he aims for is just a flick-in shot, that's why he hesitates when he is still far off the box.
As for Ian Araneta, he is only poweful up in the air, but still off target. He cannot keep pace and lack moves to evade the defender in a one-on-one situation. Parang nag cha-cha lang siya pero wala naman napala. Sayang mga effort niya kapos talaga kahit anong gawin.
