The worst case here would be a 7-0 loss. But that's already mathematically impossible in my point of view, and with the current lineup. Oh c'mon, I bet they will score more than expected.

i'm worried turks will do dirty tactics to annoy our hot tempered players, thus resulting to yellow cards, hopefully not.
i see that we will get our revenge this time! the coaching staff are surely aiming for the win, we need points to improve our fifa ranking, unfortunately they just recently drop to 140 but still 5 places higher than us.

with this current lineup that we have right now, each players are irreplaceable except for Angel. majority of them can play full 90 minutes. our right wing is the only position in which a substitution can be made. OJ,James and Reichelt is our best option. i don't see Caligdong coming in, sorry but he deserves to be at the bench after making some unnecessary comments few days back

And he didn't even acknowledge it,compared to the other players who waves at the crowd everytime they called their name, even schrock who is playing at the actual game acknowledged the fans everytime he hears his name

It's been awhile since I've last visited this forum. Many changes Congrats to the new look! Just dropping by to wish the team good luck on the game today! The game last Sunday was really epic! Hoping for a spectacular game today also minus the technical difficulties! I also hope that the stadium would be full today. I'm thinking it might basing on the results of last Sunday's game. Hopefully the public would be eager to watch the game live. Sayang ang opportunity to watch the team play, especially we have all our top International players on board. Did they lower down the ticket prices? It would help in the ticket sales. I agree with Roy Moore's article about ticket pricing. They should at most just match the ticket pricing during Suzuki Cup. Promotion was mediocre for the AFC Challenge Cup although I saw videos and campaigns online that improved and were interesting. The TV plugs of ABS-CBN was good also pero kulang pa rin ng exposure overall sa games. Will comment more on this after the game. But best of luck again to the team!!!

One thing they also need to have later to avoid cards, "DISCIPLINE" I know TKM might play dirty moves against us triggering our players to be annoyed. I hope they settle it cool. By the way, are the red cards and yellow cards will be accumulated in the Finals next year or it will be reset?
Looks like Etheridge will not play as Weiss is considering Muller to start again. What are your thoughts? Hot Azkals eye paybackFace old foe Turkmenistan for top Challenge Cup slotBy Cedelf P. Tupas Philippine Daily Inquirer 9:56 pm | Monday, March 25th, 2013 FIL-SPANISH striker Javier Patiño beats his breast after scoring his debut goal for the Azkals in the 45th minute. On the right, teammates celebrate with four-goal hero Phil Younghusband after curling his second in the 31st. CONTRIBUTED PHOTOS / ANTON SHEKER Rob Gier has bad memories playing against Turkmenistan. The top Philippine defender is hoping things would change tonight. Virtually assured of a spot in the AFC Challenge Cup, the Azkals hope to get back at an old tormentor in the Turkmen in the final match of Group E Qualifying at 7:30 p.m. at Rizal Memorial Stadium. “I’ve lost to Turkmenistan twice, so it’s personal for me,” said Gier, the Azkals’ stand-in captain. Gier’s last game against the Turkmen came last year in Nepal where the Azkals surrendered a 1-0 lead and lost, 1-2, in the Challenge Cup semifinals. But the Azkals, with more talented players now in the fold, only need a draw to advance to the main tournament in the Maldives as the top team in the group, after scoring an emphatic 8-0 win over Cambodia. The Turkmen also blasted the Cambodians, 7-0, last Friday. Given that the two best second-placed teams in each group will also qualify for the Challenge Cup, even a narrow defeat for either team would still see both advance. “Obviously, we want to win every match but we have to go there with a smart head,” said Azkals coach Michael Weiss. “We can’t go in just like today and run into an open knife and then lose on a counterattack. We have to be smart and 100 percent in control. We must qualify for the Maldives under all circumstances.” The Azkals will miss midfielder Paul Mulders, who was sent off in the 81st minute for kicking the ball at Cambodian striker Kim Bhorey. Chris Greatwich, Marwin Angeles, James Younghusband and Chieffy Caligdong are all candidates to take Mulders’ place. The Azkals drew superb games from Phil Younghusband and debuting Javier Patiño and Stephan Schrock, who dazzled on the left wing despite poor pitch conditions. Goalkeeper Roland Muller is expected to retain his place in the starting lineup after keeping a clean sheet against Cambodia. Weiss is reportedly leaving out Neil Etheridge from the lineup for the second straight match. “I have no reason to change the team because the boys went through situations and displayed fantastic football,” Weiss said. Now how will neil handle it if he was left out of the starting XI. I hope he handles it maturely. This is a real test for Coach Weiss's decision making as a manager. If I am in his place I will start with Neil instead of Roland. In football protocol especially in European leagues GK No. 1 usually starts. As I understand, Neil is still our No. 1 GK and Roland played only last game because Neil was serving a suspension. Now that Neil is already available he should be given his rightful place. In terms of seniority, Neil should still be the choice because he has been with the Azkals longer than Roland. In terms of performance Neil did excellent job in the Azkals march to football recognition. Lastly, Neil plays for EPL, top tier in league hierarchy while Roland plays for second division German league. The pecking order must be maintained or we risk to demoralize players within our ranks. No matter how maturely Neil takes this, he will still feel offended. Put yourself in his place where you travelled all the way from England just to seat in the bench. What would you feel?

MW should and must start Neil, for the sole reason that he has more caps "WITH" the azkals compared to Roland.

Neil has probably learned his lesson. Hope he would be responsible enough for every words he utter on and off the pitch. I want to see him in between the sticks vs Turkmenistan, he had a great performance in last month's friendly against Myanmar. He deserves to start or man the post 90+minutes:)
