It's My Birthday!
Hi guys! It's my honour to have you in UsapangFootball for the past two years.
As I'm turning a year older today, I would like to thank you all for your undying support and appreciating my hard work that I did for this community. You deserve all the best! If you want to send greetings, feel free to reply below.
So, in this special column, I'm sharing you a few reasons on why you should be in our forum.
New and Improved Sections
We have added a UFL Season Archive board to archive all the past season of the United Football League, for your reference. We also improved our UFL Profiles boards to include coaches in the fray (we'll post threads soon). Plus, we've already included Women's Profiles board for our Malditas to be shown.
Special Coverage for Other Sports
We at UsapangFootball support the Pinoy sports community. As such, we will also dedicate special coverage for the FIBA Asia Championship this August, and the 2013 South East Asian Games this December. We'll inform you of more info as soon as we can.
Surprises Coming Soon!
I'm happy to say to you that we are having great plan for the 2nd half of 2013 to serve you better. We'll open up new boards that will surely enhance your experience on our forum and on our social media websites.
Birthday Facts!
The custom of lighting candles originated with people believing that the gods lived in the sky and by lighting candles and torches they were sending a signal or prayer to the gods so they they could be answered. When you blow out the candles and make a wish this is another way of sending a signal and a message.
It has also been claimed that the Germans invented birthday cakes, and celebrated birthdays with a cake called "Geburtstagorten". The Germans were known to have been skilled candlemakers and may have put small candles on their cakes, possibly for religious reasons
