Thursdays games:
PAF FC vs Union - Union has the makings of a very good div 2 team while PAF had tons of players who were not on the pitch because of red cards but they pulled an incredible win again! If one looks at the PAF game roster you'd be sure to bet against them. Imagine 40+ yo players, players on the last leg of their careers, players like Araneta who is in a 2 year slide etc etc but they pulled a gutsy performance without really their trademark bully ball. Except for that one PAF player who got a double yellow after just coming back from a red the other guys really played suffocating defense and was rewarded with a deserved win.
Pachanga Diliman vs Stallions - Pachanga has about a third of the Pasargad roster plus some other "no joke" players in their roster like Diop and UFL veteran AK47 aka Alu Kigbu, former Azkals Anto Gonzales, Nate Burkey Guam national player Jason Cunliffe and more. Without Stallions Spanish heros and Korean mainstay Lee the team just didn't look as smooth as it was before. Except for Doctora who really tried his best Pachanga's new "imports" really shined. This was really an exciting match with Stallions pushing hard to catch up but defensive lapses all over the place by Stallions sealed their fate.
Pachanga scored before the first 60 sec because of a defensive lapse by Stallions and it began their long night of playing catch up. Santiago(a player I didnt know about, Filipino?) scored and had a brace for the night. Pachangas new players, if they can play as a team will be a top 3 team in the season I reckon.
Guys check out the UFL Cup games on Tues and Thurs, it's now playing on IBC13. The teams are better and the game play looks pretty damn good! But I still can't seem to root for 1 team!
Antonio de Murga and Paolo Pavone are playing for Stallions(brothers of one current and one former Azkal)
