Hey stellar! By the way, I don't know if non-members of the forum can access the link posted on Facebook. I had to log-in before I could see it.
Indeed, this guy has the credentials to warrant at least a look from the Azkals scouting group. And yeah, he could be a mainstay on defense for many years. Did he say he was interested? Being able to speak German is a plus in the Azkals at the moment, I would assume.
Good job, martinv!

Yeah, Admin had to limit the Scouting thread to members due to privacy reasons, and to force interested agents/NT staff members to register here before seeing their profiles.

I just talked to him this morning. He told me he is hesitating a lot because of the fact he was a loan for 3 seasons. Now he is back with the first team with rapid of Vienna. He basically need time to see if he still has a chance to play for Austria.
I understand his feelings. But still let's hope (just a bit haha) that he doesn't have the level so that he can join the azkal. Which is a great possibility. If he was that good he wouldn't have been on loan for three consecutive years plus he would have been caped a long time ago just like David Alaba.
And thx à lot guys for the greetings. Let's just hope that we will find more players like him for the azkals !

he is also eligible for the Hungarian team. though i doubt if he can make the cut since hungary, based on the lastest FIFA ranking, is seeded higher than austria. if ever he decides to play for us, i hope he can be converted to CB. martinv - i believe you watched him play. can you tell us how we played. thanks.

martinv, bro are you sure Stephan Palla got some Filipino in him? As of know its hard to find articles he is in fact part Filipino. For all we know there may be articles out there quoting him he's really not. All we have now is trust in your word and the few conversations you have with the player. I hope he really is part Filipino and good enough to play for the country.

Well he definitely has the level to play for the azkal. Paris have a really good team and he played well but its hard to judge his level on a single game.
The fact that he was selected several time for the Austrian Youth team proves us that he is a good player.
And yes he is Filipino, i spoke to him several times and he told me so.

Keep on updating us martinv As of now, he's like Iain Ramsay who's waiting for Australia and if he didn't make the cut, he'll probably join the Azkals. Well Gooluck for Mr. Palla, hoping for his good decision soon

If PFF/Azkals Management sends feelers to this guy, just to assure him that they're keeping tabs on him, maybe that will help sway his feelings towards trying out/applying for the National Team.
You know, always feels good to know that you're wanted.

He was subbed in a Europa game at the 75th minute. They won 3:0 and are now in the group stage. Group G: Dynamo Kyiv (Ukr), Genk (Bel), Rapid Vienna (Aut), Thun (Swi) The top two move on to the next stage.
The Austria national team is currently #55 and it will be difficult, though not impossible, for a 24 year old who hasn't yet been called, to make it to the team. Just looking at the defense players, they've been playing together for a long time, so it would take something really special to break into a cap.
I'd like to see Palla with the Azkals. They could really use him especially with the aging backline we have. He would play more, play a more critical role, and probably be more appreciated. The chance for playing in the Asian Cup would increase with him in the lineup.
martinv -- anything new with Stephan? Let him know that this Azkals fan would like to see him suit up.

I agree the chance to play in the Asian Cup should be a good pitch in recruiting him. But first he has to help secure that slot next year for the Challenge Cup. martinv If only Stephan can confirm his willingness to play for the Azkals now, it wont be difficult to get in touch with the National Team management to look at him and possibly invite him for camp and play in the coming friendlies. And the time to have his dual citizenship should also be factored in.

Right now, he's now been utilized in Rapid Wien's first team games. As of now, he already earned 3 caps with 182 minutes of playing time.
