My Challenge Cup Lineup 1.Muller/Etheridge GK either of the two 2. Deyto GK backup 3. O'donnel GK insurance at GK 4. Gier DF 5. J.Guirado DF 6. Rota DF 7. Sato DF 8. Christaens DF 9. Anton Delro DF 10. Lucena MF insurance for CB 11. Steuble MF 12. C.Greatwich MF 13. DeJong MF 14. Reichelt MF 15. JyH MF 16. Doctora MF/FW 17. Schrock MF 18. Cagara DF 19. PYH FW 20. Patino FW 21. Porteria FW for training camp exp 22. Dizon MF for training camp exp 23. Aguinaldo DF training camp exp Agree, but ifever there was a time for Etheridge and Muller to be called up at the same time this is it. Only one of them may get to play during the tournament, but we need those two pushing each other during training keeping everyone on their toes. Given that, Deyto earns the 3rd keeper spot and probably our man between the sticks come the Suzuki Cup. For the field players, tough choice but I just might take Porteria over Doctora. Much more positional flexibility, upside and might be a better fit for Dooley's system.

But do you think, if Dooley decides for two 'keepers that Neil should get the nod? Yes, he is the Azkals most decorated 'keeper. However, he has only played 16 matches in two seasons. He has been injured most of this past year. In light of that, do you still feel Neil should get the nod over Deyto?

But with coach dooley 'walang palakasan' he will check u personally and decide from there. Thats what i like with our coach, everything is unpredictable.

I dont think Dennis Cagara will play in Maldives. His club is fighting for promotion and they got many league matches in May.
Javier Patino is also doubtful. his club is struggling in Thai league , and I am not sure if his club will release him.

eto ang Line up ko for Challenge Cup 1.R.Muller - GK 2.N.Etheridge - GK 3.J.Guirado - DF 4.R.Gier - DF 5.S.Rota - DF 6.D.Cagara - DF 7.J.Christiaens - DF 8.J.De Jong - DMF 9.J.Lucena - DMF 10.C.Greatwhich - DMF 11.C.De Murga - MF 12.Steuble - MF 13.S.Shrock - MF 14.P.Reichelt - MF 15.J.Younghusband - MF 16.P.Mulders - MF 17.A.Guirado - MF 18.N.Burkey - FW 19.B.Doctora - FW 20.J.Patino - FW 21.P.Younghusband - FW 22.Del Rosario - DF I agree with this, with the exception of Etheridge. He has played 4-5 matches this season, and has been injured off and on. Though it may be good to reward experience, Deyto has more than earned the backup spot. That said, Neil really needs to consider leaving Fulham. He will NEVER play for them. He needs to go to an Asian club where his Caps will matter, and get regular playing time. He might still get a chance... Fulham is going down next season and i dont think stekelenburg would want to play for a championship club. Stockdale might stay or might leave. So yeah, he still has a slim chance

I still think Muller is better than both of them but there is no Deyto is better than Etheridge what Deyto has done in 2 or 3 friendlies Etheridge has been doing it since he entered the Azkals line-up...

Good Point. For me its Muller over Etheridge any given day. With roland's playing time at servette compared to neil at fulham. My other concern is our LB position, with Christaens still injured and Sato's inexperience for big time competitions. I think we need Cagara for stability. But if his unavailable I hope Christaens will be solid at the left flank.

i saw pictures of Simone Rota being attended by an orthopedic doctor and had his leg scanned by MRI. i think it's from his collision with one of the Malaysian players. i hope it's nothing serious.

Who was Stockdale's understudy today at Stoke? Jesse Joronen. Since Etheridge was recalled from Crewe, why not him? Simple: Fulham's brass feels that Joronen is more in their plans than Neil is.

Neil is still injured/unfit last time I remembered. Etheridge was recalled because of his recurring thigh injury.

Neil is still injured/unfit last time I remembered. Etheridge was recalled because of his recurring thigh injury. Even if he was not hurt, are you standing there telling me he could not get a CapOne Cup start? An FA Cup start? Nobody is saying start him against Chelsea or ManU. But, Christ Almighty, if he had any future at the club don't you think they would have given him a couple of starts with the Reserves, if not the first team? If I was Dooley, I would be telling Neil that if he wants any future with the Azkals, he needs to get to a decent club that will PLAY him.

If I was Dooley, I would be telling Neil that if he wants any future with the Azkals, he needs to get to a decent club that will PLAY him. I think Fulham loaned him out to Crewe alexandra a League One team(3rd in the English football ladder) early this season he made a couple of starts and did well unfortunately he got injured which halted his stay at Crewe... Fulham Manager Martin Jol recently admitted he was keen to send the Philippines international out on loan in order to gain some valuable first-team experience. "Neil is one of the keepers who I think should go on loan and get 50-75 games under his belt because he's talented," Jol said. "Etheridge hasn't got the experience yet. He's played one match for us. He has never played in the Premier League and I think goalkeepers are living by experience." comments for Fulham former Manager.. So Fulham did try to give Etheridge some gametime by loaning him but injury problems got the best of his season.. usapangfootball.proboards.com/thread/81/neil-etheridge?page=27

Burkey is inconsistent and Patino is doubtful for this friendly so i would pick the best striker in the local league today. Misagh and Chieffy have made a comeback after being injured but i doubt they're in Dooley's radar as they weren't given a chance to play under our new coach. plus they are inconsistent in international games. oh i forgot Mark Hartmann, will he be forgotten again? the current UFL leading scorer has always been left off from the squad how about give Aly a chance to join their training camp so he can regain his match fitness? or Sabio? both of them has an experience playing international games already, and is much better than the untested Aguinaldo
