Well, things has changed after Dan Palami became the manager. I bet they talked to this guy already, and Dan Palamis assistant has recently been in Australia. Maybe they had a talk.

And Palamis assistant also met up with Leigh James Gunn, a fil-aussie playing in Sydney, and he will try out again for the team. He has already been capped for the Azkals in Challenge Cup years back and some other tournaments. He is a guy with an attitude also. He was sent home from training camp once for complaining about different things. But now he is back. He is also a striker. I couldnt find a thread about him here. Why?

Well, things has changed after Dan Palami became the manager. I bet they talked to this guy already, and Dan Palamis assistant has recently been in Australia. Maybe they had a talk. Yes there has now been consultation between Iain and the PFF. And yes Dan Palami's assistant did indeed chat with Iain over the phone during his stay in Australia recently. Iain, was in Sydney at the time, but is now back in Adelaide as the team began their pre-season training for the next A-League season on May 9. This A-League season will be a big one for Iain as he looks to cement his place in the Adelaide team. He is very determined and focussed on what he has to do to get the job done for his future. Any decision he makes about his future, will not be made on the spur of the moment and it will be made, in my opinion, after a lot of soul searching and discussion with his advisers. So give Iain his space and let him make his decisions in his own time without any pressures from outside. MikeH that is not directed at you but to others who have made some irresponsible comments.

Hey guys, It is true that Iain Ramsay originally planned to watch the Manila-leg of the Azkals v.s. Sri Lanka 1st round match, according to Iain's dad himself his son wanted the coach to "know who he [Iain] is". However, the new A-League season (2011-2012) begins sometime in August, which means teams will be busy with pre-season training by July. This is what made Iain change his decision (according to his father) although it is unclear if whether Iain or not can still make it. So I suggest let's just cross our fingers that he can. And yes, Iain has said he is open to playing for the Azkals; he just thinks he's still too young to make a decision (he just turned 23!). We hope the Azkals experience (if he does watch the game) will be enough to convince Iain to play for the Philippines.

Hmm...that's strange, it does say October 8th. I was told that pre-season preparations would hinder Iain's visit though.

Ramsay, at 23, is currently looking to renew his contract with Adelaide United in the Australian Hyundai A-League a top tier tournament whose season is set to start on the 8th of October 2011. The young footballer made a breakthrough into the first team with amazing performances. And scoring the winning goal against his former club Syndey FC was the highlight of his career last season.
