if Silva Was way younger He and Aguinaldo would be our CB in the next Decade but at 30 his fine.. btw I too question the inclusion of bahadoran but how many LM do we have in the squad? He did have some good runs in that 2nd half but his got to learn how to finish... could have been at least 5 nil in that 2nd half alone.. I would want to ask the football experts what happened in that 2nd half? the azkals simply look like a new team from the ones that played in that 1st half... they were way better.. The wingback were playing better (Sato & Rota). Also, S. Greatwich was a good substitute in the second half. Maybe a good replacement to De Jong. Steuble kinda got lost as he might not have trained with the team for a while. We need to develop more options as we are a known quantity already to our Suzuki Cup opponents.

Happy for PYH getting the captaincy but he needs to grow more into the role. I missed Gier's commanding yet calming leadership.
Hartmann did a lot in this game, Coach give him the ticket to Vietnam already! LOL. Greatwich was a sparkplug. Deyto was solid when needed. Rota's best as RB, please don't put him again as CB if possible. Aguinaldo is slowly cementing his place in the team.
Bahadoran, people are rooting for you to score! as for Del Rosario.....Nepal knew in the 1st half which side to attack.
*disclaimer: all of these observations are based by watching on stream that keeps freezing.

Deyto was good except for that mis-kicked in the 1st half which the Nepalese side was not able to capitalized.. you can't make mistake like that against our ASEAN neighbors. Some our friends here must be on vacation...

There are other LM options, if the team is willing to explore it. Curt Dizon, Joven Bedic, or go way back and give Chieffy Caligdong another shot. Dig deeper and you'll find Jason Arroyo and a host of UAAP products.

I don't know which game you watched last night but Bahadoran played well. He gets criticized a lot but if you notice the past few matches, he's been quite threatening. He even played better than James Younghusband. The problem with some is that they only see what they want to see.
I'm amazed that no one has praised Lucena. He was our best player last night. Dictated the midfield, sprinted back during counter attacks, tackled well and made the right decisions.

That header pass to Phil is highlight worthy.

yup..i have to agree..Lucena had a superb play during this match. I think he should have captaincy at least once. He has been a very good commanding presence in the midfield.

Not all players need to score just to have a good game. That's the striker's job. That's what Mark Hartmann and Phil Younghusband are for.
Do we have any other left wingers who have a better form than Bahadoran right now? Chieffy has been on and off. Curt Dizon is with the team but cannot displace Bahadoran. Dig deeper? Jason Arroyo? Haha. Is he even still in the UFL? He's not even a left winger. Again, watch closely. Right now, he is our best left winger and only those who don't really watch the Azkals play can say otherwise.
If there's a player who didn't play well, it is Del Rosario. He wasted a lot of possession and he was always out of position. When Rota moved to the right back position, we started playing well because that side started to become a threat.

Lucena was one of the most important player on our team if not the most important. He brings experience and stability in front of our back 4. I remember before MW wants Lucena to be released by his club in time for semifinals last Suzuki Cup. That's how important he was for our team.
Now i was thinking of unloading Juani in favor of Silva comes Suzuki Cup. Plus We need another LB after sato but Christaens hasn't played lately.

Friendly against Al-Ahli today in Qatar has been cancelled
Not enough players to field a team today. Loyola and Global players are back in Manila, just few players are left in Qatar today.
