Just wondering if PFF will include some of our AZKALS mainstream the likes of Aguinaldo, Sato, Hartman, Deyto and others for this U-23 squad as we know that the boys will be very busy preparing for WC.

Just wondering if PFF will include some of our AZKALS mainstream the likes of Aguinaldo, Sato, Hartman, Deyto and others for this U-23 squad as we know that the boys will be very busy preparing for WC. Deyto is 25 years old, he is too old for SEA Games. I dont think anybody who make it to the World Cup squad will go to to SEA Games. The final in SEA Games is on June 11 , same day as Philippines will be playing Bahrain in World Cup qualifier.

SIX Azkals mainstays have been tapped to add more bite to the Philippine Under-23 standouts set to see action in the Southeast Asian Games in Singapore. Amani Aguinaldo, Kenshiro Daniels, Mark Hartmann, Manny Ott, OJ Porteria, and Daisuke Sato are part of the 30-man pool composed of United Football League and collegiate stars who are vying for spots in the U-23 roster. Young stars including Curt Dizon, Nick O’Donnell, who have previously suited up for the Azkals in friendlies and saw action in the AFC Under-23 Cup, are also in the pool that will be trimmed to 20 before the tournament. The U23 Azkals are being coached by Australia’s Jim Fraser. The Philippine Under-22 football team may miss the services of eligible Azkals mainstays like Amani Aguinaldo for its Southeast Asian Games campaign as the Philippine Football Federation has placed top priority on the senior national team's bid in the Fifa World Cup qualifying tourney, which runs in scheduling conflict with the peninsular meet. The Singapore SEA Games’ football competition is slated May 29-June 11, a period in which the Azkals are in the heat of their buildup for the first two games in the World Cup qualifiers slated June 11 and 16. Aguinaldo, along with Kenshiro Daniels, Mark Hartmann, Manny Ott, OJ Porteria and Daisuke Sato have been listed in the 30-man pool for the SEAG but should they be tapped for the WCQ, will be joining the Azkals instead. “We’ll have to take it up with the two coaching staffs (U-22 team and Azkals). Of course, the priority is the senior national team. But it really would depend on who will be called up for the (Azkals) training and first matches in the World Cup Qualifiers,” PFF general-secretary Edwin Gastanes told the STAR. “Those not be selected (for the Azkals campaign), in all likelihood, will be in the U-22 (SEAG team). There are many players for the U-22, they have been together for the AFC U-23 tournament, and previous to that, they had a training camp in Japan. They’ve been training silently and we’re arranging local and foreign camps and friendlies before the SEA Games,” said Gastanes. The PFF exec said the Philippines is not alone in this situation. "All the Asean countries face the same problem. In fact the Asean Football Federation has requested the AFC to reschedule the World Cup Qualifiers (in order to send the best teams to the SEA Games as well)," he said. www.philstar.com/sports/2015/04/17/1445005/seag-team-miss-azkals-mainstays

World Cup qualifying schedule conflict keeps six Azkals mainstays out of SEA Games squad A SCHEDULING conflict will keep the Azkals mainstays from joining the Philippine men’s under-23 football team in the Southeast Asian Games in Singapore. Amani Aguinaldo, Kenshiro Daniels, Mark Hartmann, Manny Ott, OJ Porteria, and Daisuke Sato, senior team members eligible for the U-23 squad, are expected to be with Azkals at home for the Fifa World Cup qualifiers opener against Bahrain on June 11 at the Philippine Stadium. The U-23 squad plays its last SEA Games match on June 9 against Indonesia, causing an overlap in the schedule. “Hindi sila makakalaro (sa SEA Games). Priority ang World Cup,” Philippine Football Federation president Nonong Araneta said on Wednesday. But Araneta assured the age-group team, coached by Jim Fraser of Australia, will be ready in its return to the biennial meet even without the Azkals standouts. “We just have to prepare,” said Araneta, who was recently elected to the AFC executive committee. “Buti sana kung pinapabayaan yung (SEA Games) team, eh may camp naman eh.” The U-23 Azkals is eyeing a two-week training camp in Australia at the end of the month before heading to Singapore. The SEA Games team opens its campaign on June 1 against host Singapore, two days later versus Cambodia, before taking on Myanmar on June 7. The top two teams in the five-team Group A advance to the knockout stage. www.spin.ph/football/azkals/news/under-23-azkals-scheduling-conflict-sea-games-fifa-world-cup-qualifiers-football-philippines

20-man Roster for 28 th SEA Games The Philippine Football Federation has issued call-up letters to the following players selected by Head Coach Marlon Maro to compose the roster of the U-23 Men’s Team that will participate in the 28th Southeast Asian Games to be held on 26 May to 16 June 2015 in Singapore. Below is the list of players that have been called-up by PFF: AGUISANDA, Ronnie ALQUIROS, Nathanael Andrew AMITA, Arnel ARBOLEDA, Fitch Johnson Daviz BADELIC, Florencio Jr. BESANA, Mark Anthony BUGAS, Paolo CHENG, Jaime Vicenzo CLARINO, Julian Mariano DEL ROSARIO, Dominic Liam DORIMON, Neil FELONGCO, Shirmar GADIA, Daniel Bernan SALENGA, Paolo SANTOS, Francisco Jose Primo TACAGNI, Connor Reece TALAROC, Richard Jr. UZOKA, Kennedy VALMAYOR, Gerardo III VILLANUEVA, Nathanael Ace pff.org.ph/2015/05/25/20-man-roster-for-28th-sea-games/If Porteria and Dizon were not called up for the men's team, why were they not called up for the SEA U23 squad? Don't they realize they will be facing professional players in the SEA games? In fact I think Daniels should have been allowed to play for this team as well. I don't expect too much for this team, but it will be a good experience for our young players nevertheless.

Yes, Porteria and Dizon should have been here. Could have added a lot to the team.
