This is because our europe based players decided to relocate and play in the ufl. Thanks to them, the level of play in the league leveled up. Alos credit to the imports for their quality, they help our players step up their game as well. And lastly, the clubs and their supporters for making this happen. Its up to PFF to help the league and the team reach its goal

UFL still has one problem, they need to have consistent TV coverage! Dont settle for stations that shows the game on a delayed basis coz it will really hinder the growing fan base of each team.

Yeah I agree. That sucks the most. They have the resources to show replay of volleyballs or other basketball league, why not televise ufl live?! I think abs-cbn sports and action should try

I say sayang, with all the momentum from the Azkals game to the AFC Cup. This wil just leave UFL into the sideline until they reach an agreement with a TV station with genuine and competent TV coverage.

tiebreakertimes.com/tbt/no-revenge-mission-as-kaya-aims-for-qualification-in-kitchee-rematch/55834Kaya Football Club is on the verge of qualifying for the 2016 AFC Cup knockout round. A win tomorrow would secure Kaya passage through the next round. It would be the first time a Philippine club got past the group stages of a continental competition. Aiming to ward off Kaya, though, is Hong Kong-based club Kitchee Sports Club who prevailed, 1-0, the last time both teams squared off at the latter’s home turf. The historic Rizal Memorial Stadium in Manila will host tomorrow’s encounter with the kickoff time set at 3:00PM. As of this moment, Kaya leads Group F with 9 points after 4 games played. For Kaya and Azkals midfielder OJ Porteria, everything that has happened so far was just surreal. “I’m just proud of the guys, proud of the organization, and I just want to thank everybody for having our backs throughout this AFC Cup and we’re just excited to keep going and see how far we can go,” Porteria added. On the other hand, Kaya coach Joel Villorino was in a more solemn mood before the game. “Bukas na po naming malalaman kung magiging effective ang plano namin for them kasi nung first game namin, natalo kami sa kanila. We’ll try to fix that tomorrow.” Despite Kaya’s loss against Kitchee at Hong Kong, Porteria stated that revenge isn’t on players’ minds. “I think the loss is past us. We’re going to use the momentum that we’ve had to win tomorrow and we have the advantage because we’re at home. It’s at 3:00PM, we’re used to the heat. They’re not used to the heat. I think we just have to use the momentum that we had in this campaign to win tomorrow and hopefully we can get that win.” Villarino likewise agreed with Porteria as to how tomorrow’s weather would affect the game. “We take advantage of the weather, kasi advantage sa atin yan dahil sanay tayo sa mainit so hopefully isang factor na pwede namin silang kunin dun.” It’s been more than two months since Kaya first competed in the AFC Cup. Porteria felt that Kaya has grown so much from the first game, which was incidentally against Kitchee. “The morale of the team. The belief. We’ve gone three games unbeaten in this campaign and like I’ve said, who would’ve thought we’ll be here. But we’re here now and the morale of the team is very high. We’re at home so it’s our last home game so we’re very excited to play tomorrow”, he explained. Pressure, however, is something which both Villarino and Porteria shrugged off with Kaya close to pulling off something historic. Villorino said, “Kahit manalo kami still nandun pa rin yung yung pressure namin kasi most of our fans, yung manonood, nakafocus ngayon sa amin. Normal lang yung pressure sa amin.” In addition to that, Porteria said, “I feel like I would rather have 9 points and pressure than maybe having 6 points or 3 points with pressure. We’re on top of the group and I’d rather have that than being 3rd or 4th (place) and having that pressure.” One of the tangible signs that Philippine football is blossoming is having its club sides go far in continental competition. If Kaya wins tomorrow, then it will be a landmark day indeed for Philippine football. After their fantastic, 3-0, away win at Singapore against Balestier Khalsa FC, only a crazy person won’t have faith in Kaya.

Preview: Kaya FC v Kitchee Kaya FC host Kitchee United in Manila in what is a crucial Group F clash in the AFC Cup on Tuesday. Kaya FC celebrate 2 The two teams are separated by just two points at the top of the group and a win for either club would go a long way towards securing their place in the knockout stages. A win for the hosts would secure them top spot with a game in hand, while Kitchee have more to lose, as Balestier Khalsa are three points adrift of them in third and could still unseat the Hong Kong club. Since their 1-0 loss away to Kitchee in the opening rounds, Kaya have won three on the trot in the AFC Cup, the most recent being a dominating 3-0 win over Balestier, and Kaya coach Joel Villarino is determined to continue to keep that run going. “It’s an important game for us if we want to qualify to the next round and finish on top of the group,” said Villarino. “We have a solid game plan and our focus is on this match. We don’t want to disappoint our fans at home.” Meanwhile, Kitchee stumbled to a disappointing 1-0 loss away to Balestier on matchday two, then drew with New Radiant at home before finally getting a positive 2-0 result away to the Maldive club in the return match. On the domestic front, despite a run of five straight wins, Kitchee could only cement second place in the Premier League behind Easterns with one match still to play. The club will be hoping Spanish striker Rufino del Burgo will continue his scoring run, as he has netted three times for Kitchee in the last four outings. The match will have an early kick-off Kitchee coach Alex Chu admitted that this is of concern as his side may struggle with the heat in Manila. “The first concern is the weather. We’re not used to playing in this weather because of most of our AFC Cup games are at night,” said Chu. “I don’t want my players to waste energy. We will be patient, we will keep the ball a lot. That’s our style. We will try to save our energy and take our chances.” “Kaya have improved so much in the past three games. They play with a good attitude, they are very disciplined and they play fast.” www.foxsportsasia.com/football/afc-cup/news/detail/item283188/preview-kaya-fc-v-kitchee/

Preview: Selangor FA vs Ceres Selangor FA host Ceres La Salle FC on Tuesday at Selayang Stadium in a pivotal clash in Group E of the AFC Cup. Mohd-Azrif-Nasrulhaq;-Selangor-FA Ceres are currently at the summit of the group with eight points from four games. Tampines Rovers are second with seven points. On the same tally are Selangor who occupy third while Lt. Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club Ltd are at the foot of the group without a point to their name. Tuesday’s encounter is of serious significance to both teams. A win for Ceres will guarantee them a spot in the next round of the competition while three-points for Selangor will see them, at worst, finish the round in second place in the group. The last time these two teams met was in the opening fixture of the group stages way back in February. At the conclusion of a closely-contested game, the score was 2-2 and the teams shared the points. Both sides have struggled of late on the domestic front. Ceres completed a grueling three-game stretch in early April as they faced Kaya in a friendly, Tampines in the AFC Cup, and Global FC in the final of the UFL Cup. The tight schedule saw The Busmen beating Kaya and Tampines but bowing out in the final of the UFL Cup against a well-rested Global outfit. Adrián Gallardo has been in fine form for Ceres in Asia, netting five goals in four matches. He will shoulder a lot of the responsibility on Wednesday. Of Selangor’s last five league games, they have only been able to record one victory, which was against Penang on the 20th of April. Consequently, they lie fourth in the Malaysian Super League with just 15 points from nine games. They will look to Mauro Olivi to find the back of the net for them. He has three goals so far in this year’s edition of the AFC Cup. www.foxsportsasia.com/football/afc-cup/news/detail/item283455/preview-selangor-fa-vs-ceres/
