Stephan Schröck loan deal with Ceres Fc expire on August 31 . Not sure if they will extend this deal after Ceres Fc failed to advance in AFC Cup. If he returns to Germany he will probably not play in Suzuki Cup. But as I've said months ago in another thread most likely nothing much has changed on what is at store for him at Greuther Furth who may have been going for younger guys. If the main reason he wanted to be loaned because he's spending more time on the bench then he will be coming back to that same predicament.

Dont count out JYH and Misagh guys plus Omid. I hope he'll be available for the Suzuki Cup. We are not counting them out actually alot of us in the football community is abuzz with Nazari joining the national team and his performance is closely followed. Misagh and James is should I say have their foot inside the team if we will just base their recent performance against Nokor and how enthusiastic Dooley is about that historic win.

Schrock Can venture into the Asian leagues. Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Singapore etc are all financially capable leagues that can give him more than enough compensation than what Ceres can give. Other than that, its his love for the country that really stands out.
Give Omid a midfield partner in an Ott or a Strike Partner i Patino and we're on our way to the Finals. Thats my bold prediction.

AFF Suzuki Cup draw: Malaysia to avoid Thailand in group stage Malaysia will avoid regional powerhouse Thailand in the year-ending AFF Suzuki Cup group stage, unlike the previous two editions where the defending champions and runners-up met in the round-robin. The AFF Suzuki Cup draw on August 2 will place Malaysia and Thailand in Pot 2, allowing them to avoid each other in the group stage. The two countries are the top seeds of the 2016 edition due to their performance in the previous two years, where Thailand won the 2014 edition and finished runners-up in 2012 while Malaysia were runners-up last time out and reached the last-four four years ago. In the 2014 edition, 2012 finalists Singapore and Thailand were drawn in group B while 2010 finalists Malaysia and Indonesia faced each other in Kuala Lumpur. Co-host Philippines and Myanmar will be in Pot 1 while Singapore and Vietnam are in Pot 3. Asean Football Federation (AFF) general-secretary Datuk Azzuddin Ahmad confirmed Indonesia – who were under a FIFA ban from June 2015 to last May – will gain automatic entry into the competition and will be placed in Pot 4 alongside a qualifier. Indonesia are ranked sixth in the AFF ranking but there were suggestions that the Garudas may have to go through the qualifiers as seventh-ranked Myanmar have an automatic spot by virtue of being co-hosts. Previously the qualifying round offered two places in the tournament proper. Laos, Timor Leste, Cambodia and Brunei compete in the qualifiers in Cambodia in October. The 2016 AFF Suzuki Cup commences on November 19 and the two-legged final on December 14 and 17. Pot 1: Philippines & Myanmar Pot 2: Thailand & Malaysia Pot 3: Singapore & Vietnam Pot 4: Indonesia & Qualifier Read more at www.fourfourtwo.com/my/news/...void-thailand-group-stage#lDii0XBklFtW2KbR.99

AFF Suzuki Cup prepares for blast off 21-Jul-2016 The highly anticipated Official Draw for the AFF Suzuki Cup 2016, Southeast Asia’s biggest football tournament, which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, will take place on Tuesday, 2 August in Yangon, organisers confirmed today. Myanmar and the Philippines, co-hosts for the group stages from November 19 to 26, will be joined in the hat by defending champions Thailand, fellow four-time winners Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia and Vietnam. The Official Draw for the qualification round in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, from October 15 - 21 will also be held on 2 August. One team from Cambodia, Brunei Darussalam, Laos and Timor-Leste will join the seeded sides in the AFF Suzuki Cup Group Stages. First played in 1996, the biennial AFF Suzuki Cup that crowns the kings of ASEAN football, stirs the passions of patriotic fans throughout the region who closely follow the action at the stadia and on television. Raucous, flag-waving crowds are a feature of the tournament, which dominates conversations at home, in the office place and on social networking sites. With Myanmar and the Philippines newcomers to hosting the Group Stage tournament, the Youth Training Centre in Yangon and the Philippine Sports Stadium, will be staging their first games in the AFF Suzuki Cup 2016. Both venues have previously held international matches. Wunna Theikdi Stadium in Nay Pyi Taw and the Rizal Memorial Stadium in the heart of Manila, which has played host to AFF Suzuki Cup semi-final matches in 2012 and 2014, will each host one simultaneous match in the group stages. The venues for the Qualification round tournament will be the Phnom Penh Olympic Stadium and RSN Stadium. The last match day will kick-off simultaneously. The semi-finals of the AFF Suzuki Cup will be held on December 3/4 (first legs) and December 7/8 (second legs), with the home and away final on December 14 and December 17. www.affsuzukicup.com/news/aff-suzuki-cup-prepares-for-blast-off

As Dan Palami said, we are grouped with the countries that ended our journey in the semis in the past Suzuki Cup editions: Indonesia (2010), Singapore (2012) and Thailand (2014). I really hope Philippines could now break this tradition. PH drawn with Thailand, Singapore in Suzuki CupThe Philippines has been drawn with four-time champions Thailand and Singapore in Group A of the AFF Suzuki Cup kicking off Nov. 19 at Philippine Sports Stadium in Bocaue, Bulacan. Joining the three teams in the group is Indonesia, whose suspension from international football was lifted by the International Football Federation (Fifa) early this year. The three countries – Thailand, Singapore and Indonesia – are actually the opponents of the Azkals in their three semifinal appearances in the biennial tournament. The Azkals open their campaign against Singapore on Nov. 19, before taking on Indonesia three days later. The Thais will be the Azkals’ last assignment in the group stage on Nov. 25. The Thais are the only Southeast Asian team to qualify in the final round of FIFA World Cup Qualifying. They extended their dominance of the Azkals in the semifinals two years ago with a 3-0 aggregate win, before toppling Malaysia in the finals to match Singapore’s title haul. Singapore last lifted the trophy in 2012 when it beat the Azkals, 1-0, on aggregate in the semifinals, before overcoming Thailand in the title match. Indonesia beat the Philippines, 2-0, on aggregate in Jakarta in 2010, the year when the Azkals rose to prominence. But the Azkals came away with a 4-0 drubbing of the Indons in the group stage of the 2014 tournament in Hanoi, Vietnam. Making up Group B that will be hosted by Myanmar are Vietnam, Malaysia and the winner of the qualifying tournament that will be hosted by Cambodia in October. Tough draw. Bring it on. True these are the 3 teams that eliminated us in the last 3 Suzuki Cups, but circumstances are a bit different this time. Thailand might not send their best team as they are prioritizing the WC qualifiers and Singapore hasn't had good results lately after losing to Cambodia in their last friendly. Indonesia is coming off a long ban from international football and according to their coach(Riedl), half of their team might come from the U23 team. Schedule November 19, 2016: Philippines vs Singapore November 22, 2016: Philippines vs Indonesia November 25, 2016: Philippines vs Thailand Venue: Philippine Sports Stadium Draw results for the #AFFSuzukiCup2016 qualifiers, which take place in October.
