Not to be misunderstood, I wish my fellow Pinoys in Mindanao peace and security. But as a word of caution, when Pres. Duterte's army is closer to winning, be extremely careful since these fanatics is ready to "mag humirintado".
Just read this in the Manila Times: Something must be done to change this mentality.

So is it goodbye Meralco to the YH bros already? Davao Aguilas is beefing up and we'll definitely be seeing a Mindanao club in the 2019 AFC Cup. It'll be a big story.

www.rappler.com/sports/by-sport/football/177065-younghusband-brothers-transfer-davao-aguilasPhil and James Younghusband are set to transfer to the Davao Aguilas after 6 years with the Loyola football club, it was announced on Saturday, July 29. "It is with great sadness that FC Meralco Manila announces today that James Younghusband and Phil Younghusband will be leaving the club and transferring to Davao Aguilas FC during the current PFL transfer window," FC Meralco Manila posted on its Facebook account. "We made an earnest attempt to keep James and Phil in Manila with an offer of a contract extension. But the brothers elected to pursue this opportunity with Davao. They asked for a release from their current contract and we have granted it, allowing them to sign with the Aguilas." The Filipino-British brothers had played in the Chelsea youth system back in England before joining Loyola when Meralco assumed ownership in 2011. With the brothers, Loyola – now FC Meralco Manila – won the 2013 UFL Cup and 2015 Smart PFF championship. Official stats are hard to establish, but it’s widely assumed that Phil Younghusband is the club’s all-time leading scorer. The Davao Aguilas, a new team owned by Australia-based Filipino businessman Jefferson Cheng, is currently second to last in the Philippine Football League, with 5 draws from 11 games and no wins. Loyola is second in the league with 24 points, just two off top club Kaya. The two sides are set to play one another on Saturday at 4 pm in Davao. The Younghusband brothers are just the latest acquisition for Davao, which also acquired former Azkals Matt Hartmann and Nick O’Donnell from Global, and picked up another ex-Azkals player in Jason de Jong from Ceres during the ongoing transfer window. Phil Younghusband, who has 6 goals so far this season, will turn 30 next Friday, August 4, while James, who has 5, will be 31 on September 4.

Match report: YOUNGHUSBANDS BID FAREWELL WITH HANDSOME WIN OVER DAVAO Phil and James Younghusband said goodbye to FC Meralco Manila in a fitting manner: with a 3-2 victory over the Davao Aguilas on Saturday in the Davao Del Norte Sports Complex in Tagum. Hours before kickoff the brothers' transfer to Davao was announced but that didn't stop Phil and James from doing right by their soon-to-be ex-employee at the expense of their new one. Phil assisted in two goals and James scored another. But centerback Milan Nikolic earned Man of the Match honors with two goals off headers. The win brings Manila back on pole position in the PFL table with 27 points, one more than Kaya who tangle with Stallion Laguna on Sunday. Meralco were without central defender Joaco Cañas, suspended on yellow cards. Neil Dorimon earned his first start of the season in his place. Early in the match goalie Ace Villanueva was called into action, palming away a strike from new Davao signing Jason De jong. Simon Greatwich and Phil Younghusband also shot wide but it was Davao who struck first, capitalizing on a defensive error to set up an opener from Aussie striker Harrison Sawyer in the 33rd. Four minutes before the half Meralco leveled when Nikolic nodded in a Phil Younghusband corner. However it only took seconds for the Aguilas to restore the lead when another new addition, Matt Hartmann, snuck in a low shot from an acute angle. Three minutes into the second half Phil was denied off a free kick by a great save by the Davao keeper Marko Trkulja. His elder brother nearly connected seven minutes later. But Manila drew level in the 64th when Phil beat the defense on the right flank and then centered to James, who slipped it past the keeper for 2-2. Just two minutes later another header from Nikolic, off a Curt Dizon cross, gave the Sparks the lead for good. Davao tried to shake things up with the late entry of Enzo Cheng but Meralco held on for the win, their first in three games. "Daniel Gadia came in and pushed Phil and James upfield. That was our main adjustment in the second half," said Meralco coach Aris Caslib. "It was an emotional match. Thanks to the great crowd and thanks to Phil and James for all they have done for the club," said Nikolic. "You all are like brothers to me," said James Younghusband to the team after the game. The Sparks next play Global on Wednesday and Kaya on Saturday. www.facebook.com/fcmeralcomanilasparks/

Bit of nitpicking with the report, as it was actually Phil who provided the cross for the second Nikolic goal. Making it his third assist of the game. www.azkalscout.com/davao-aguilas-meralco-manila/I made my report here and I pride myself on my accuracy, so if I am wrong, please tell me so I can change it

Actually, I just re-watched the livestream of the goal. It does look like it was a Dizon cross. The camera cut off the cross and I knew Younghusband took the corner. Will adjust my report

The Philippines Football League website is down and the facebook page has people demanding PTV 4 coverage.
Does anyone have inside info on what's happened to the TV coverage? Is this the beginning of the end?
I hope not...this is worrying

After the transfer window, will PFL games be televised elsewhere once the games resume? Hard to find PTV 4, and from what I've gathered, they haven't been airing the recent games.

Well there. As soon as Davao Aguilas booted out Gary Philips, Cheng's son (often a starter in the U23) is now always in Maro's first XI.
Also, even with Angel, YH bros, De Bruycker, and De Jong, Davao still can't get a win against every team in the PFL except Ilocos.

We should get Leonard Vitorino as U-22 coach, He was recently sacked by the Cambodian FA.

^ I agree with this. A club coach like Maro should not handle a national youth side. Because it will divide his attention. He could not focus on managing a senior club side and a national youth side at the same time. It would be detrimental on both sides. We need someone who would focus only in the u-22 or any youth side for that matter. A coach like Vitorino is ideal, but it is seldom for an experienced senior NT coach to go back again coaching national youth sides.
Plus,If were gonna have a "Filipino" coaching our youth team. He should have a UEFA license at the very least. For some reason I just don't trust the AFC license.

Global Cebu clinches a place in the final of the PFL, with an aggregate 3-2 win over Meralco Manila.
They will be facing Ceres Negros in the Finals after Ceres won their tie against Kaya FC Makati on a 3-1 aggregate score.
