Very nice analysis of Coach Dooley. I don't think you'll find many who would think Weiss a better coach than Dooley, and this data analysis provides good quantitative proof. The comparison of FIFA ranking is telling. Achieving it with tougher opponents makes it even more impressive.
Dooley has fared less in the Suzuki Cup compared to Weiss. The Azkals always found a way to make it through the group stages prior to the last one under Dooley. I'd like to say the Azkals found a way despite having Coach Weiss, but I'll have to think more about data to support such an argument.
One thing that has changed since Dooley took over is the depth of the team. There are more good players that could play and not diminish the team skill level overall. Dooley cannot take much of the credit for that, but he can be credited for giving more playing time to the younger players. As you mentioned in your article many of the locally based players have seen playing time.
Good analysis. Keep it coming.

As long as there is an interest in seeing more, i'll be sure to deliver. I agree, I believe Dooley is tactically superior to Weiss, however, I am still not entirely sure he is the right man to take the Philippines forward in the long term. It all comes down to how much the PFF would be willing to pay for a good head coach, because I am sure there are others out there that would enjoy the task of managing the Azkals, as there is so much untapped potential.
