You can see Jerry at the far right side acting as a wall for a free-kick. Jerry Lucena (#21) is mobbed after feeding an assist to his teammate to level the scores at 1-1.

maybe..but Danish laws state that they do not allow dual citizenship.. just as the case of Lucas Barrios of Borussia Dortmund, he renounced his Argentinian roots...

It's irrelevant what Danish law says about dual citizenship. If Filipino law wants to see him as a Filipino citizen, I don't think that would be a problem. Just like Brits. If someone's parents are Brits, the kid is a Brit in the eyes of their law and can get a British passport even if he adopts another citizenship.

So what's the latest on Jerry? Didn't he show interest in playing for the Azkals at one time?

I'm not sure if it was in 2006 or 2007 when he was asked by the PFF if he would like to play for us and he said he was . His club Esbjerg fB during that time even said that they would let him play if our team will qualify to the main tournament of AFF championship but unfortunately it didn't push through. His interest to play for us is contrary to Dennis Cagara who refused to play for us and said that he's Danish. Well, we can't blame him for that. But the funny thing is I read on Brøndby IF's website where he used to play said that his favorite summer destination is Boracay. Share ko lng. And speaking of Esbjerg fB, Phil YH was also loaned out to this club in 2007 but returned to Chelsea after a few months due to injury.

Jerry currently plays for Danish First Division side AGF Aarhus. The First Division is the second tier of Danish football, the top tier being the Superliga, from which AGF Aarhus was relegated last year. This year they currently sit atop the First Division at the midway point of the season and are playing very well, having lost only one game. The first two teams get promoted up to the Superliga. # Teams Points 1 Aarhus GF 39 2 Vejle BK 34 3 HB Køge 32 Lucena is a regular starter on the team and plays right back. Since the team wants to be promoted and he's a critical part of the success they're having, I'm thinking they may not want to release him for the upcoming AFC Challenge Cup. I hope they do. Here's a page in English that has info about the team, which also includes U.S. Nat midfielder Benny Feilhaber and probably the reason why there are postings in English. Note in the match reports that some games have as low as 2100 in attendance. I'm sure he will see much more than that if he dons the Azkals uniform and plays to a home crowd, wherever that stadium might be. www.soccer24-7.com/forum/showthread.php?p=3825002Calling Jerry Lucena. Calling Jerry Lucena. We want to see you in an Azkal uniform.

PFF should try to get this guy. He will be a big help. He can play RW or RM if Anton Del Rosario gets to play RB. AFC Challenge CUP is on FIFA calendar right? I think PFF should have a say on calling our national players if they insist. That how things go for other countries, Im not sure its different for us.
