Just asking: will Neil be able to debut for Fulham if and only if Schwarzer would be allowed to cap for Australia for the upcoming WCQ group stages next month? I'm just speculating. Not necessarily. If Schwarzer's schedule is known in advance, Stockdale could be recalled for a few weeks, a more likely scenario. There's still a chance, however, since it's all up to the coaches, and if Neil is showing good form in practice, one never knows what might happen. The thought is exhilarating.

Neil announced on twitter today that he won't be able to play in the Long Teng cup as clubs aren't obliged to release players for this tournament and he needs to focus on Fulham since he is now no.2 but he is hoping to join up with the Azkals again soon.... at least it is a good opportunity to have a look at Roland Mueller...

With Stockdale loaned to Ipswitch and Neil getting the no.2 GK spot, does this mean that Etheridge is better than the England no. 2?

With Stockdale loaned to Ipswitch and Neil getting the no.2 GK spot, does this mean that Etheridge is better than the England no. 2? It's more of Fulham wanting Stockdale to get some much needed experience. It does make you wonder- no team bothered to loan Etheridge? Still, being a number 2 goalie for a Premiership team is quite something.

Could had been a good oppty if NE was fielded in on their Carling Cup match with Chelsea. Protecting the goal on a penalty shootout against the likes of Lampard, John Terry and Malouda, priceless!

Speculation is rife about Neil's chances to start because of Schwarzers injuries the last match. Read here: soccercentral.ph/news/neil-etheridge-might-debut-fulham-fcThough a cursory search of Fulham's website show no indications that he will. I'm sure Philippine fans are excited about the prospect. Go Neil!

The latest foreign articles actually indicate that Schwarzer is confident he can play against Odense. What's the basis for that post?
