those matches are played using the subs in order for the coaches to see who is reliable once any of the starting players cannot play or are injured.

Can he play on the SEA Gamers? Cause if Neil won't show up he is a good goalie too!

Roland Müller has been promoted as 2nd choice keeper of MSV Duisburg's first team after their top choice keepers David Yelldell and Marcel Herzog moved to Bayer 04 Leverkusen and FC Basel 1893, repectively. Roland could have become the number 1 keeper but their manager Milan Šašić realized Roland isn't ready yet to take the 1st spot so he signed ex-Hannover 96's backup keeper Florian Fromlowitz who's interestingly only 25 years of age while Roland is 23. Nonetheless, Roland is making a good progress.

Mukhang may azkals call-up na mangyayari for Herr muller. Fingers crossed! Hi question lang, has anyone from PFF contacted him previously? Passport and all that stuff ready? Sounds like this kid is a good "starter" material if ever NE is not around, plus he's only 23.

Checking Roland's participation with MSV Duisburg's campaign this season, Roland was used as backup keeper in their first 2 matches in 2. Bundesliga as well as in the 1st round of DFB Pokal. However, in their last 2 outings, it was the 21 year old Felix Wiedwald who was used as backup keeper rather than our soon to be Azkal member Roland. I'm not sure though if he's just injured at the moment or the younger Felix Wiedwald was performing better in training recently. Or it's just that the coach is giving both keepers exposure to be with the first team in their league matches. Which is which?

Additional info on his current team, and how bad they are. "Roland is a 23-yr old goalkeeper for MSV Duisburg of the 2nd Division of the Bundesliga. He has been named as the backup twice this season. He was previously with 1. FC Köln II. The club is currently 16th in their division, with only two points to their name in four matches."Either way, he's an upgrade for the senior NT backup GK. soccercentral.ph/news/ingreso-m%C3%BCller-added-football-training-pool

Fil-German to replace Etheridge
A NEW member of the Philippine Azkals national football team will most likely take the place of Fil-British goalkeeper Neil Etheridge when the team sees action in the Long Ten Cup next month.
Roland Mueller, a Fil-German goalie, who plays for MSV Duisburg in the second division Bundesliga league, is coming over this weekend to start training for the Azkals.
Mueller is one of two newcomers, whom coach Hans Michael Weiss is tapping for the Azkals. Mueller will be available for team inspection when the Azkals resume training in the coming week.
The Azkals will have joint practices with the national under-23 team, which is now in the final phases of its tryouts.
After the Azkals lost their home-and-away encounters with Kuwait in the 2014 World Cup qualifiers, Etheridge informed the coaching staff that he may not be available for the Long Ten Cup and the Southeast Asian Games due to his commitments with Fullham.
The 23-year old Mueller, who is from Cologne, may also wind up playing for the nationals in the coming 26th Southeast Asian Games in Indonesia.
The Long Ten Cup will start on Sept. 30 in Taipei, with the Philippines set to meet teams from ChineseTaipei, Hong Kong and Macau. Peter Atencio
