I pity Casas if this is true. He's been showing good form in the AFC cup and all of a sudden, he won't be finishing what he has started. But this move is good for Ceres generally.

But recently he had the tendency of losing the ball that cost them goals. Not really sure if that contributed to this move by the team management.

Ceres FC off to Singapore Cup, eyes Fil-German keeper Muller AFTER that heartbreaking one-nil loss to South China AA in the 2016 AFC Cup Round of 16, Ceres-La Salle FC shrugged it off and went on with their quest for glory in the Asian football arena. The team flew to Singapore the other day for the 2016 Singapore Cup which features top football clubs in the S. League, and from the Philippines, Cambodia, and Brunei. Representing the Philippines in this tournament are UFL defending champion Ceres FC and UFL Cup champion Global FC, who will compete against Duli Pengiran Muda Mahkota of Brunei, Nagaworld of Cambodia, and Singapore’s Balestier Khalsa, Geylang International, Home United, Hougang United, Tampines Rovers, Warriors, Young Lions, and tournament champion Albirex Niigata. Ceres-La Salle FC team manager Ali Rojas Go said his team seems a little bit down because of that late goal by South China in the second extension during Tuesday night’s match in Bacolod City. “The team did everything right until that lone mistake. I think this is one of the best games our players played. Those missed chances did really hurt us. We should have scored on those chances,” Go said. He added: “We already made history. No loss in the group stage and topped the group. It was a good run. Maybe next time, we will go further. We already put the club in the map of Asian football. Now we have to concentrate on the league and try to go far in the Singapore Cup.” Go also said they are finishing the deal with national team keeper Fil-German Roland Muller. The 28-year-old international custodian has suited up for the Servette FC since 2013 and currently on loan with Etoile Carouge in the Swiss League, where his contract is set to end this month. Muller, who began his career in the Philippine team in 2011, will be a huge boost for Ceres FC in their goal to become among the Asia’s top clubs. Roland Muller 15 Jun Roland Muller Set to Join Star-Studded Ceres-La Salle Icko De Guzman In a bid to further bolster their squad, Ceres-La Salle FC coach Ali Go announced that Azkals goalkeeper Roland Muller is set to join the club in time for the second round of the United Football League. Go confirmed the news last Saturday before his team faced Pasargad FC in the Untied Football League. The Bacolod side finished as winners in that game, handing Pasargad a 16-nil whooping. “Roland is traveling here (to the Philippines) next month,” said Go. “We made an agreement already and I think I can say it now that it’s a finished deal. He will play for Ceres come the second round.” According to the Ceres coach, Muller has signed a long-term deal with the club which already have Azkals Stephan Schrock, Manny Ott, Patrick Reichelt, and Martin Steuble in the lineup. The goalkeeper joins the Bacolod club after a loan spell with Etoile Carouge in the Swiss Promotion League where he made eight appearances. Muller’s contract with Etoile Carouge ends at the end of the month Muller will be added by the club during the transfer window, which will run from July 18 to 31, or at the end of the first round. “The team will have a little bit of change come the transfer window,” added Go football.com.ph/roland-muller-set-join-star-studded-ceres-la-salle/

In August 2011, Roland Richard Muller came to the Philippines to join the men’s national football team in preparation for the then upcoming Long Teng Cup. From there, the life of the Filipino-German goalkeeper changed. With his contract with Swiss club Étoile Carouge expired by the end of last month, Muller is about to join the reigning United Football League champions and 2016 AFC Cup quarterfinalists Ceres-La Salle FC. For Roland, it is fulfillment of a dream. “It was always my wish to play in the Philippines; I’m a national player. It was always in my [mind] to play [here]. Now, there is an opportunity. My contract expired in Switzerland; that’s why I decided to go to the Philippines,” he shared. Muller also said that his decision of playing in the country at the UFL is his own way of helping the League. The Azkals custodian also praised his national team colleagues and now, club teammates, Patrick Reichelt and Paul Mulders, among others, for doing a good job in helping UFL reach greater heights. “I am really, really happy. [It is] amazing.” Muller did not need to adjust that much with his new club. “Yeah, most of them I knew from the Azkals, so it’s much easier. I know everybody, how they are. And [the] other guys, I only knew from one practice, but they are nice to me,” he said. Now that he is about to play in the country, the keeper also sets his sights on the big tournament the country will be hosting this November – the 2016 ASEAN Football Federation Championship or the AFF Suzuki Cup. “I’m looking forward for this tournament. I’m going to do my best to be there, to help the team. My first priority is to give my best, and leave the coach to decide.” With the Azkals slowly coming home to play in the UFL, it is a welcome development to for the UFL and Philippine football in general. With Muller in between the posts for Ceres-La Salle in the future, things are about to change. tiebreakertimes.com/tbt/mullers-homecoming-a-dream-comes-true/60710

This is one of his recent post 4 days ago if this has something to do with it. Was already wondering the other day why he is not in the azkals practice photos and no IG posts of his azkals callup but posted a video together with injured Reichelt.

Just announced his retirement for the National Team, Thanks for everything Roland "The Tiger of Manila" Müller. It's now time to find a replacement for him, we have a lot of Filipino talents out there. With all due respect to his great service to our national team I think the timing is not good. It's the Azkals' first game of the year after a long layoff and Pinoy fans are hyped up and very excited for this one. Suddenly with his surprise announcement of international retirement he diverts all the attention and dampen the fans' spirits of the sad news. Btw props to all that he has done for the country. He is the hero of our campaign for 2014 AFC Challenge Cup and had alot of world class saves and PK stoppages. Good luck on his career in PFL.

Lets just respect it for now. Deyto is doing fine, so is Etheridge. We have lots of GK that can play in the Asian Level. What more if Areola becomes available
