What is fascinating about Thomas Dooley is how he profiles like most of our players, being born and raised in Germany to a German mother and American father. He choose to give homage to his father's homeland despite being a product of the German system.

Forget about Coach Raddy, pinapa-hype pa kase ang coaching job search as if it's a reality show. Myanmar did their job well, filtering 40 applicants on hand. Only to find out that Raddy is the one. Do your job silently and efficiently Sir Dan Palami, I don't care of whose celebrity or a World Cup winner will coach us, we just need a coach that can take the Azkals to the next level.

Big loss for us. The Philippines took too long to make the offer and should not have publicized their list of candidates.

It's ok... we still have good candidates (unless they declined)

Double bukol. Big loss for us and big problem since he'll be coaching Myanmar which we might face in future competitions.

Schaefer is currently coaching the Jamaican national team(although I don't know the length of the contract). He might not be available. Dooley is the Bundesliga player who won the UEFA Cup. Jamaican national team... *shudder*. Their team has world class athletes, probably even better athletes than all of Europe. However, they're the perfect example of the notion of skills trump athleticism in football. IMO, Dooley will be an amazing choice, and he's going to be a godsend compared to Weiss. Based on his profile and his workings with Klinsmann, he's also connected to the DFB, which means he's definitely a frontrunner for the spot. I'd say we should take it slow on him first because he's had almost zero experience as a manager. But as I have said, Looking only at US's results, they haven't really done as well as they could've, but in a footballing perspective, they are many levels ahead of Bradley's US. In perspective, Klinsmann to the US is Zaccheroni to Japan (Okada sucks LLLLOOOOOLLL). It's finally nice to see the US the right way and gives me goosebumps. Our win vs. Mexico wasn't just luck, we outplayed them at every stage of the game. What I expect from Dooley is he'll bring Klinsmann's philosophy of how playstyle is affected by the culture of the area, and in our case, the whole country. This is, for us, the perfect mindset to the growth of the national team. Hopefully, if all the players are in agreement to a playstyle, all the Filipino population would like it too. This would make football more popular, especially if we see results going our way. We should really see this as the stepping stone for a much better future for the Azkals.

does Dooley capable of handling a senior team? we have to take note that he doesn't have a wide background and experience as a coach but he has a good credentials as a player. remember how we complained about Weiss' lack of experience of handling a senior team and it showed how he was very slow adjusting against a tactical opposing coach. now can we gamble on Dooley? i think Palami still has some good options on his list

Im actually ok with a candidate with limited experience as long as they have great credentials as a player like Dooley. The job also includes the recruitment of uncommitted players like Ramsay and Palla and people with the gravitas of Dooley or the Barca captain can help get these players to play for our NT.

IMO, It's a step way down if we hire a coach with no experience on int'l scene what more without a knowledge on ASIAN football. That's why, for me, coach Avramovic is a perfect replacement, he produced good result after he had been under-fire by Fans and Media. He suits in the ambition of Philippine Football and the over-ambitious pinoy fans(no offence).

I dont think that experience is essiential after all Pep Guardiola only managed a season with the Barcelona reserves before getting his job in Barcelona. That being said taking someone with little experience is a roll of the dice but I trust that if Mr Palami did roll the dice, the odds would be in our favor.

Its funny how people want Dooley and yet critize Weiss for not having experience with senior team. PFF dropped the ball on this. I cant believe it is taking them this long to replace Weiss. No succession planning what so ever. ?
