Do you think there will be any surprises in this edition or will be a cakewalk for Barça?

Santos will be the biggest threat for Barçelona simply because Neymar is one of the deadliest strikers in the game. But I still think that Barçelona is going to win this cup.

I see Neymar a bit overrated thought... I don't see him that much above Monterrey's Humberto Suazo as key player, still, from what I remember of the last Copa Libertadores, the real key player of Santos is Ganso, he's the one Barcelona should nullify.

I don't like the format of the club world cup. It should start with all teams competing in the quarterfinal stage. I can compare this to the old era of tennis before the open era. The wimbledon champion only had to play 1 game to defend his title. It doesn't make much sense today.
Barcelona and Santos only need to win 2 games to be world chamion, but the champion from ofc needs to win 4 games to win the cup.
Pretty unfair.
Have a normal QF round. knockout style so that everybody needs to win 3 games to win the world cup.

Yes, I am.
I would go ~70/30 of probabilites for Chelsea, I wish Monterrey does the upset, but I think it will end with a difference of 2 goals for Chelsea.
Players to watch? Monterrey has lots of talented playes (for CONCACAF and even CONMEBOL level):
Mexican Olympic Gold squad members: Darvin Chavez, good LB but nothing special. Hiram Mier, a really good CB, I see him taking "Maza" Rodriguez starting spot in the senior NT after Brazil 2014, dude's simply class with the ball in his feet.
South American international player: Walter Ayoví, while a veteran (he even played in Korea-Japan), he's still starter for Ecuador. Cesar Delgado, once Argentine international, played some years with Lyon (he was part of that Lyon who upseted Real Madrid in UCL). Nery Cardozo (just in youth NTs) was part of a great Boca Juniors. Humberto Suazo, clearly the star of Monterrey, this Chilean is simply a level above his team mates (but won't play due to a laceration, this decreases Monterrey's chances).
Mexican senior internationals: Aldo De Nigris, a treat in the air and holds the ball like no one in Mexico, is a very complete and powerful target man. Darvin & Mier listed above. Ricardo Osorio, former Stuttgart player. Jonathan Orozco, reliable keeper with great reflexes.
And has young players with great future in Jesús Corona, this guys can be the next Mexican pearl, and Guillermo Madrigal, 191 cm tall striker, with a U-17 WC in his CV and current top scorer and champion in the Mexican U-20 league.
