So far, the crowd in Panaad I quite thin. Looks like we aren't going to have a full house today but hopefully it will improve in the next hour. There are also news that it might rain. let's just hope that it won't when the game starts.

That's quite a lot more than I expected.........
Seeing as Indianapolis is a drive distance away (still long...), I may try to drive there. I don't know if it's possible though because of family stuff from the weekend + work-related stuff.

Actually I was there and it looked like the stadium was nearly filled. I don't really know the capacity of the stadium, but it certainly looked a lot bigger than some of the crowd I have seen in some of the Scandinavian club games on tv jonny. Good crowd although they need some practice in cheering the squad a bit when the Azkals fell behind.

"The attendance was truly pitiful. Not even a fifty peso bleacher ticket was enough to lure Pinoy Football fans to the Rizal Memorial on a Tuesday night. The grandstand was about half full and only a smallish piece of the center bleachers was populated. It almost made me want to cry. Has Azkals mania waned that much? Apparently so. How bad was the attendance? The Azkals customary post-match lap of honor was replaced by a stroll straight to the center bleachers. No need to do a lap, since there wasn't anyone there to greet behind the goals. My hope is that Thursday will be better, and that on Saturday, with the title on the line, Rizal Memorial will be rocking. I'll continue to tweet out exhortations for people to watch the games live. I can't emphasize it enough: the team needs our support now. Please watch live on Thursday and Saturday." ph.sports.yahoo.com/blogs/thepassionatefan/azkals-1-guam-0-ll-w-170958527.html

When will this pitiful attendance change? Hmmm My guess or even a bit sure that the PFF might want to consider Panaad Stadium(Bacolod) or CCSC(Cebu) to be used as the venue often for Azkals match. Kasama nako dun of course. Anyways, sa tingin ko, basketball fanatic parin yung mga tao sa Manila and yung mga kabataan eh nalululong sa DOTA at kung ano ano pa. Sana nga sa Sabado since wala ng pasok at trabaho, maraming pupunta. We really want to see and hear Filipinos chanting together for the Azkals.

For me, there might me more attendance if they held it in Bacolod since its a football hotbed in Visayas. hehe rather than Manila. One thing also is that for students, in most schools, they are preparing for finals, OJT matters etc Last thing, no YHS so some girls didn't watch this game since they're absent The MAC vs PHI game was back to GOOD from LIMITED. Some people refunded their tickets Just my thoughts hehe

No doubt, the sluggish turnout was due to the negative press brought about the non-inclusion of the Younghusbands and the drama which build up after the PFF press conference last Monday. It was a public relations disaster, and it should not have happened that way. But again, another drama about Jason Sabio again was brought up by Coach Weiss, which will be another bad blow to their PR.
We have to admit it that the current team is still building up to win, and we cannot expect much from them, but we should appreciate their sacrifices that some of these guys went up all along. Negativity has no place in the beautiful game, and everyone active in the football scene must keep the positivity flowing to our target audience. But sometimes we have to be realistic; there are certain things we must look deeper on why audience numbers are dwindling, and drastic measures must be made before we see an almost-empty home crowd come Suzuki Cup should the team reach the semis and finals.

And the view was just the same. And the kaholeros are on the free seats, so it is much enjoyable if you're not on the grandstand. Pwera lang kung umulan.

Doesn't Bacolod get more match attendance than Manila? I know my uncle always goes to Azkals games there. Also, I do know that the football capital is the Visayas. I don't exactly understand why football is centered in Manila when it isn't as popular there....

Naapektuhan ang attendance dahil sa issues na nangyari, Kahit saan madaming nadismaya at hindi na bumili ng tickets.
On the other hand.. I think matetemp manuod ng live ang karamihan nyan dahil sa naging performance ng Team sa unang game nila, Sana..

they should bring the game in places where poeple will watch specially in the visayas where football is more followed, plus the management andb staff should at least make some good publicity before major tournaments or gamess, because i have noticed that each time the team goes to some major games negative publicity always arises and you can't lure new fans if what they always see are negative about the team, and maybe manila is really not good for international football games
