Is this a stadium or just a football field like BGC Turf? If a stadium what is the seating capacity of the stadium? If not a stadium how many people can watch games there? hehe

As per Santi Araneta, the McKinley Hill football field will be the home of the UFL next season.
Santi Araneta @santiaraneta It's amazing to be a partner of Megaworld! Mckinley Hill Field will be the home of the UFL in October! #philippinefootballisheretostay
It's good to note that residential area is quite small and congested, with skyscrapers everywhere. I do hope more plans would come out soon as I want that field to have adequate seating like they have in UMak.

@soccercentralph 4-yr contract with Megaworld. FIFA-standard with 2k seating capacity. This is pertaining to the pitch under construction in McKinley Hill.
2,000 isn't bad, but UMak seats more. So I think this might not attract well. Hope they find out more solutions soon.

I think 2000 is not enough since UFL fans are increasing. Hope they could reconsider it. Megaworld is famous for creating famous buildings.
I think soon they'll expand it. So this is ready by October 2012

League gets ‘home’ at McKinley HillMonday, 23 April 2012 19:32 THE United Football League (UFL) has struck a deal to make as its home the artificial pitch that will be constructed by real-estate giant Megaworld at the McKinley Hill in Taguig City. Work on the P1.5-billion project has been fast-tracked for the field to be completed by October before the start of the 2012-2013 UFL season. The field’s bleachers section that could accommodate up to a crowd of 2,000 is also expected to be finished before the end of the year. The UFL welcomed the deal, saying it addresses the league’s problems on the lack of pitches as well as improve the quality of play in the league. Under the deal, the UFL will have priority on the use of the field for the next four years. “We’re excited to have a field of our own,” said UFL President Santi Araneta shortly after signing the memorandum of agreement with Megaworld officials at the Genting Place at the Resorts World. Also signing the deal for the UFL were Marketing Director Javi Mantecon and UFL President Randy Roxas and Megaworld’s Kendrick Tan, CFO Lourdes Torres and SVP Philipps Cando. The MOA would be coterminous with the league’s television deal with AKTV, said Araneta. The field, which will be 97x60 meters, is being built to conform with international standards. “A sign of bigger things to come,” said Roxas. “After the signing, the real work begins.” The UFL holds most of its big matches at the University of Makati field because of the recent inavailability of the Rizal Memorial Stadium. Several second division games are also held at the Turf as well as at the Nomads Sports Club in Parañaque. “We are happy to be part of the growth of football in the country,” Tan said, hinting that the McKinley field may not only be the last football-related project that Megaworld will undertake. “We might be able to put up permanent facilities. This may just be one of the many of the company’s endeavors,” he added. “We are committed in ensuring the viability of football in the Philippines,” said Jericho Go, Megaworld’s first vice president. “The facility puts us in the right direction.” businessmirror.com.ph/home/sports/26183-league-gets-home-at-mckinley-hill

UFL finds a home in the McKinley Fieldby rick olivares The United Football League has found a new home. A new field where matches will never have to be called off because of rain. A pitch where Kaya players Nate Burkey and Jonah Romero promise, “We will play some great football.” A venue that is fully modern and one that the Filipino can be proud of. When the UFL kicks off next season in, they will do so a the billion peso pitch that is the McKinley Field in posh and upscale McKinley Hills at the Bonifacio Global City, Taguig. The FIFA-approved 60x97 meter turf pitch will seat about 2,000 people and will also have a grandstand, modern dugouts, and a press center. Mr. Jericho Go, First Vice President for Megaworld Corporation was a schoolmate of Football Alliance officials Santiago Araneta, Javier Mantecon, and Antonio Longa during their elementary and secondary school days at the Colegio de San Agustin said that “It’s not a huge stadium like what Real Madrid or Barcelona has but it is a good start. The idea of putting up a football field next to our communities is a natural idea. It goes hand in hand.” Kendrick Tan, Director of the Emperador Cup, a football tournament for non-professional football players added that the McKinley Field will be used solely for football and nothing else. “I grew up playing the game and I still do love the game. For the sport to grow we need a field that will be dedicated to the sport. McKinley Field is what we hope will be the first of many similar turf fields.” Araneta, who is the UFL Chairman, was excited about this development for the league, “As you all know, we have been encountering birth pains with the league. Having a home field fixes many of those problems. But I have to make this clear – they are good problems to have.” Added UFL President Randy Roxas, “Megaworld shares the vision of the UFL and when companies like Megaworld want to partner with us and promote the sport that opens up new opportunities.” bleachersbrew.blogspot.com/2012/04/ufl-finds-home-in-mckinley-field.html

Bob Guerrero's thoughts on the upcoming McKinley Hill Football Field:
GREAT: FIFA- certified Artificial turf and lighting, Grandstand that will seat 2000, provision for temporary bleachers, locker rooms, 3 more Megaworld fields coming soon in Metro Manila and 2 more in the provinces, high camera position for TV games, lots of restos and stores nearby.
NOT AS GREAT: At 60m wide, it's a bit skinny. Most regulation pitches are 68m. But still waaaay wider than the 46m Turf at BGC. Public transpo access won't be the best.
But all in all this is a terrific development for the sport in the Philippines. Megaworld deserves a big shoutout of thanks!!

Hope it helps Since Megaworld is known in creating huge structures I think, they'll expand it soon it the company has a lot of money in their pocket. High chance of expanding the capacity I hope P1.5 Billion for 2000 seating capacity? Weird ;D What do you think is the capacity for P1.5B pocket? Anyway Thanks MEGAWORLD This is a big boost to PHI Football I think land value is one of the factors why it's P1.5B since it's a very nice place and lots of rich people and businesses are there.
If you use your vehicle, I prefer you to use C5 and Kalayaan Ave since EDSA/Ayala to McKinley Road is always in heavy traffic. For now, I'm not recommending you to use Sales exit of SLEX for now since it's closed for renovation so expect also heavy traffic there. If you're using bus, I prefer to ride on Bonifacio Transport Corp. Since the terminal is in Ayala Center in Makati and takes you there for 10 to 15 minutes depending on traffic and road condition. Citylink Coach is preferabble if you came from NAIA and in Eastwood City. Taxi is most used in that vicinity on Metro Manila I hope it helps you a lot Added info about McKinley Hill Field facts, means of transportation and getting there

I wonder if this accelerates the demise of the national stadium?

I wonder if this accelerates the demise of the national stadium? Why should it? This stadium in terms of seating capacity, is basically the size of a high school stadium here in the US. It doesn't really look anything special but it certainly provides another venue for the UFL to play their games in. I think Megaworld is building this stadium to benefit the communities surrounding it, just as much as they are doing it for the UFL. A national stadium which Rizal is at the moment should be a lot larger than that and I would presume that if the PFF, would like to host bigger tournaments in the future, would have to consider asking Congress with the help of the private sector to build an even bigger and better equipped stadium than Rizal.

now since the UFL will have another venue, the teams should now adopt their own home fields to have some home and away feel.. since the armed forces have their own field...they can play their home game there( imagine an armed forces derby), same also for nomads, then some should have UMAK and Rizal as their home fields, so that each game week simultanous games can be played at different venues
