cjeagle; Not sure what goes on in the minds of property developers, but frequently their logic for re-developing land defies all reason. Your statement is certainly reasonable, but will it stop developers and those associated with them desiring to make money? Remember, we still have other venues around the Philippines which can and have been used to stage matches... not saying I agree, but who knows with developers? kiko; fair point. I think using multiple venues is a good idea from the perspective of expanding the number of teams for the upper tier. However, there is another issue to be addressed. I do not go to all UFL games, but those I have been to are far less than 100% full. When I go, I tend to go for an afternoon and watch as many matches as possible. However, if we have multiple venues, I wonder how much weaker attendance would be at any one venue? If there will be a move later to introduce ticketing, I wonder if it would be in their interests to try and concentrate attendance?

Of course they built this field with commercial interest in mind. Despite the fact that I mentioned that this field has the dimensions of a high school field here in the US, it is being built by a private firm and not with public funds for the local high school. I think it also serves the purpose of increasing the real estate value of the surrounding communities which would rebound to their benefit. My point is that this stadium has nothing to do with the need for a bigger national stadium, as it does not meet international standards for seating, field dimensions, etc.
@ kiko, From what I understand Megaworld plans to build more stadiums in the future, hopefully with bigger seating capacities. This along with local communities seeing the benefit of building local stadiums of their own, will eventually allow the concept of home stadiums for teams in the future in the UFL, just like in other countries.

You probably know the reason of the delay. Why delayed ? The weather. You wouldn't continue construction on a pitch when there are rains, don't you think...

a tweet from Carlie De Murga: @uflphilippines Please provide better pitch for the ufl games, we couldnt even run there...
it pains me to see this tweet. i know we have no choice and the UFL is making the best of what we have, but to think 6 games were played, 3 simultaneously, in pitches that are quite frankly horrendous such as Nuvali Fields is embarrassing for the league. And to think we have dozens of foreign contingent playing their club football here (i.e. the captain of the Guam Matao Jason Cunliffe, Rufo and Joaco, Dario Dakic), but all we have to show are below par "football fields". embarrassing. i can only imagine what they were thinking when they first saw and stepped on the pitch. we can only wait for the Mckinley Hill Football Field to finish, but even then, it's only one pitch.

and yet another complaint. this time from Misagh Bahadoran
@uflphilippines has to provide better pitch for better football and safety of players, this wasnt what @globalfc_PHL deserve 0-0 not happy
and Patrick Reichelt
The @uflphilippines and their top office should rather think about the safety of players then forcing the schedule!!! #unproffecional
painful to hear isn't it?

The new pitch looks nice, UFL FB page just posted.. Problem would be the seating capacity though

Here it is, guys! Looking good! What's still missing, though, is the grandstand which should be done by the middle of next year.
