Thanks for reminding me, Wiking. Apologies for that. Seems I'm too stuck with my British English. ;D I'll not lock this thread for a while. Let Admin take care of what he says of this.

first off, if i get a warning or i get banned, i don't really care. this is a forum for free discussion and an expression of ideas. i just REALLY hope people of football and non-football knowledge can understand this...if you don't, then....idk what to tell you.
if the pff or media wants to advertise the UFL, then take a page out of the Malaysia League XI or the MLS All-Stars. don't make false advertising ok and disappoint people by saying "azkals alyansa" or "azkals and friends." yes, pretty much all of the players involved were either retired, current or future national team players, but don't fool everyone by saying it's the full philippines national team. call it the UFL XI, the Philippine League XI or even the UFL All-Stars as they were known when they played the actual Philippines NT. the name "azkal" is a name solely given to the full national team, U23 or other youth national teams. false representation is just down right dirty and people should be ashamed to be so desperate to do something like that. leave the "azkals and friends" gimmick to zidane and ronaldo for their annual charity matches.

A more appropriate name for the team that played in the match against CFIM would be "the young ones, the young once and the younghusbands" ;D ;D ;D

first off, if i get a warning or i get banned, i don't really care. Hello, this is the problem when people start not caring about what they post. It quickly dissolves into personal attacks thats why there is a mod to regulate behavior. We've had a huge problem with this with a handful of members in the recent past and regular members started avoiding the site. Its hard NOT to ban one or two immature posters when 15-20 regular ones decide to avoid the site. this is a forum for free discussion and an expression of ideas. Very well said, but someone does OWN the site and has posted rules and regulations. It is after all, a PRIVATE website. Peace out mexipino!

see, the thing is wiking, my friend got a warning from admin just because he expressed his own opinion on this topic. a warning, really? just for expressing your own personal opinion when you're a "football noob". there's a lot of things to know in the world of football and when someone gets a warning for expressing their own opinion about a subject, it makes me think that's it's out of resentment for that person just because he/she doesn't get the common sense about why a nickname should only be used for a specific professional team. and i say that i don't really care if i get a warning or banned because i'm expressing my own opinions and if the admin or anyone else can't respect that, then they're just immature and thick headed.

i dont really understand why you make it such a big deal about that nickname. i guess i dont really understand the concept of nicknames because im from the US where there are hundreds(or maybe thousands) of sports teams with alot of them sharing the same nicknames.. from pro to collegiate to amateur(highschool) and none of them, not even their fans, have problems with sharing the same moniker. i told you already nicknames are only trivial things. if u really dont want anyone to use the nickname azkal at all, go copyright it for the MNT, knock your self out bro. I honestly don't know how else to further simplify the very basic reasons I provided repeatedly. It really just takes common sense since I afforded you with multiple samples. Please, claiming that you're from the US doesn't make my logic incomprehensible. In fact, it should be easier for you to understand considering the US sports fans are some of the most passionate, knowledgeable and sophisticated fans in the world. Your additional explanation above is another one of your incessant attempt to trivialize something of importance. We've already established the fact that all sports teams (i.e. high school, collegiate and pro sports) can use whatever nicknames they wish EXCEPT for what we've been debating. Do you realize that non-national US football teams do not use the nickname of their national team in any version - ever? Even their past All-Star teams that played against foreign teams were not dubbed with the national team's nickname. Again and I'll say for the last time; it's a big deal because calling a non-national football team Azkals, when the entire team isn't comprised of true national players, causes confusion and embarrassment amongst the football fans and conveys the wrong impression whenever these wanna-be Azkal teams loses against less-than-impressive foreign teams. In short, as I said in my first rebuttal, Azkals = National Team and National Team = Azkals. The whole team has to be filled with NT players to earn the right to be called Azkals. Any other team formed with just some Azkal players does not equal Azkals in any version.

The discussion is getting even more irrational and seems both hollywoodazkal and cypher210 are going 'round the bush with their arguments.
I'd better lock this thread now, and let Admin have his power to throw this to the Garbage Bin if he allows it.
