His first goal really doesn't count as an international goal? unfortunately no but it should do wonders for his psyche, he's had so many chances in all the games he played with us. Hopefully if he plays in the Challenge Cup, Phil wouldn't be as "shadowed" anymore thus opening up our offense.

03/25/2012 Late goal stuns Cakmak-blue-white fan base
On 25 Regional Round-defeated the 1st FC Magdeburg in the domestic arena to the MDCC Berlin AK. After 90 minutes of play it was 1:2. Even before the half time break of the climbers went 1-0 lead. After a 1-1 equalizer by Christopher Wright germinated before 2792 spectators Hoffnugn on their first home win of the season. But Cakmak anxious minutes before the final whistle of the critically acclaimed winning goal from close range for the Berlin AK. Next weekend, the first traveling FC Magdeburg, Saxony-Anhalt to Derby Germania Halberstadt.

Well we will get to see if he can score at the UFL level. I am of the opinion that you should only be called up to the national team based on your club play and his performance last season with his club was not good enough for a striker(one goal all season long). Granted that was in Germany, but it seems that his finishing has carried on the national team as well. I do like his work ethic and his commitment to defence though a lot better than Phil Younghusband and he does have pace. If he still had difficulty finishing at the UFL level, maybe they should consider putting him in a different position like in the midfield and see how he fares.
