As you all may know, I have frequently commented on youth development of football here in the Philippines. Sometimes, I have been critical, but I have also praised groups like the PFF when there have been positive steps forward. I am very happy to advise that I have recently learned that there are some very substantial efforts underway this week to radically move youth development of football forward through the very positive efforts of the PFF and the regional representatives. This includes the naming of a new program director (temporary) for the Kasibulan program, as well as organizing multiple football festivals in every region of the Philippines for youth ages 6 to 12 throughout the country. There is a massive planning session going on right now involving some 40 PFF and regional representatives to define how the Kasibulan program will move forward. More details can be found at my blog, www.pff-g.comIn addition, Criticaleye2's blog carries a very good review of the PFF festival in IloIlo and some further comments on the Kasibulan program as well. This can be found here: criticaleye2.wordpress.com/If you are interested in Youth football, I urge you to check out these blogs for some interesting news about youth football development in the Philippines.
