Well, one of the stronger sides just got shown the door. Kyrgyzstan just got KO'd by Maldives 0-2. Their record is now 0-2. I think there is still a slim chance, IF Kyrgyzstan beat Myanmar & Palestine beat Maldives, there will be a 3-way tie for second place for Group A. It will all boil down to Goal Differential.

PEX is pinoy exchange forums. They spend more time attacking each other there than talking football. This forum has rules against personal attacks against each other, and our players. Legitimate criticism is allowed but no personal attacks or insults. If you have read the comments of those who are familiar with PEX, you would know why this forum is run differently.

Accommodation far from venue? Hhmmmm... Is it deliberate ploy of the Maldives' organisers to exhaust the energy and unnerve psychologically their rivals ? It's only me but it's free to speculate.

Looks like Palestine will be the first semi-finalist after winning against Myanmar earlier.

Palestine is through, but all other teams still have a chance to take the 2nd slot. It should make for an interesting final match for the group.

Palestine can still get knocked off by the Maldives. Remember, the 'Dives will have the home crowd behind them. A 1-0 win can grab them the group. Kyrgyzstan came out like a rusty gate the first two matches. No way they are beating Myanmar. The only question is how many goals Myanmar scores.

True, I think Semifinal progression will be sealed for Palestine with a win, draw, a loss by two goals or less, or Myanmar failing to win.

We need TKM to win para pasok pa rin tayo kahit draw sa Saturday right? If AFG wins tonight, we'll need a W on Saturday.

www.the-afc.com/en/afc-challenge-2014-cup-all-news/28640-dooley-confirms-injury-of-key-duo.htmlDooley confirms injury of key duo PUBLISHED: 23 MAY 2014 Hithadhoo: Goalkeeper Neil Etheridge and defender Juan Guirado are doubts for the remainder of the Philippines’ AFC Challenge Cup campaign due to injury, according to coach Thomas Dooley. Centre-back Guirado was stretchered off in the second half of Thursday’s 2-0 win over Laos with a knee injury, while Etheridge missed the Philippines’ second Group B fixture after suffering what is believed to be a recurrence of a thigh complaint during Tuesday’s goalless draw with Afghanistan. And with the Philippines set to return to Male on Friday ahead of Saturday’s final Group B fixture against two-time runners-up Turkmenistan, the pair are serious doubts as the Philippines look to build on their 2012 AFC Challenge Cup semi-final appearance and emerge victorious in the Maldives to qualify for the AFC Asian Cup Australia 2015. “I don’t want to say that it is sad or bad that we have an injury now. Juani (Guirado), he might be out for the whole tournament, but this is something that we have to deal with as we have to see what we have and we have great players on the bench who can come in and do the same job,” said Dooley. “Neil came and he had ice on his knee and I was asking him and he said he was 100%, but after the game he is injured and he said he cannot play anymore.” Asked specifically if Fulham custodian Etheridge, who suffered a thigh injury while on loan with English League One side Crewe Alexandra last November before aggravating the problem again in February, will miss the remainder of the tournament, Dooley said: “As much as I know, yes.” Swiss-based custodian Roland Muller replaced Etheridge against Laos, while Dooley also has goalkeeper Patrick Deyto at his disposal. Amani Aguinaldo, meanwhile, replaced Guirado shortly after half-time on Thursday as the Philippines beat Laos thanks to goals from Simone Rota and Patrick Reichelt.

Correction, we need one of these teams (AFG / TKM) to win so that we'll only need a tie to qualify for the semis right? If TKM vs AFG 's game results to a draw, we'll need a Win against Turkmenistan to qualify.
