According to CedelfTupas, TKM will miss their #1 Keeper and 2 Central Defender on Saturday. We've lost our #1 Keeper and 1 Central Defender too. But Muller and Lucena are equally reliable too.

Aiming for only a draw is very dangerous, a cautious game, yes, but we should push for the win. A win or a draw on saturday will give us Palestine for the semis( Afghanistan will surely beat Laos on saturday), a rematch of the last editions runner up match, hope we will have the same result :-)

In order to avoid Palestine, we need to win the match on Saturday. We are way past the stage that we are only playing for a draw. A win should always be the objective with caliber of players we now have.

A win should always be the objective with caliber of players we now have. Ofcourse they should always try to win but draw is good enough. It will be difficult take first place since the Afghan has 2+ goal diff and still has Laos next game so I think they will win the group. Therefore, a date with Palestine is inevitable. But I cant see the Phil losing against Palestine because of the "caliber of our players". Top two teams group B will play in the finals with Phil winning it.

That’s why it pains him all the more that he sustained a quad injury that sidelined him in the match against Laos last night and possibly for the tournament. Etheridge started on goal in the scoreless draw with Afghanistan last Tuesday in his first competitive match in two months. Following his injury, Roland Muller started in Etheridge’s place against Laos. “I want to be fit and help the team,” Etheridge said. “I thought my competition was over, but I’m hoping I could still take part in the semifinals or finals if we get there or in the next game.” sports.inquirer.net/153748/injury-sidelines-top-ph-azkals-goalie

This is a team we can beat. In 2012 we gave up two goals in the last 10 minutes to lose 2-1. In 2013 we beat them 1-0. I'd like to think we're a much better team than 2012 and 2013, and Turkmenistan will play without three of their starters. It would be difficult mentally for the team to lose those players and to forget the loss to Afghanistan. I say we have the edge.
Go Azkals!

I bumped into a facebook conversion about the game yesterday and all of them was bashing phil. "Papogi lang yan' 'd kaya mging striker n phil' etc. Man give the man a chance he's the all time leading azkal scorer. I think they've only watched a few matches. 5 friendlies at max. Btw i hope phil gets his act back. For a striker you shouldn't get frustrated take every shot and i hope all of it would end up at the back of the net.

Neil's recurring thigh injury could really affect his career. Imagine just played a game with no significant contact but still got an injury. But I saw his face in pain after taking a goal kick but still continues the game.
Juani's injury is alarming, hope it is not ACL.
So it's down to a win or a draw now. Let's go Azkals!
