The dream of professional football: Here comes Mike
He lives the dream of every teenager - but is it really a dream? Playmaker Mike Ott is one of the great hopes of the young blacksmith of TSV 1860 Munich and writes off this month with SPOX over the life of a soccer talent. What makes him busy? What can cheer him? How does he deal with the pressure? Today: Mike introduces himself to the SPOX readers.
Hi,
I introduce myself as the first time just before: My name is Mike Ott, am 16 years old, live in Petershausen, less than 50 kilometers from Munich, and go off this summer in the 10th Class of the real branch of the Sport School Taufkirchen. Above all, I have but one dream: I want to become a professional footballer.
A few weeks ago came SPOX up to me and asked me if I wanted to share it with the readers of my way. There are so many reports of successful and less successful talent - but the public really has no real idea of how the life of a young player actually runs out.
Facts & Figures
This is Mike Ott
Born: 2nd March 1995
Position: Playmaker
Height: 1.64 meters
Weight: 56 pounds
Biggest success:
Winning the DFB Cup with Bayern-country selection in 2011
Winning the German championship with school Taufkirchen 2011
Previous clubs:
Illmmünster SV (2002/2003)
FSV Oberpfaffenhofen (2003-2005)
TSV 1860 Munich (since 2005)
Family:
Gerhard's father (pictured r.), Mother Dory
Older brother is the Philippine national team Manuel Ott (Ingolstadt)
His twin brother Marco (pictured left) played in the league for Freising Bavaria
So I took great idea and I agreed. This means that from now on it is a monthly journal of mine where I tell you something about the things that interest me: The alarm clock that rings every morning at 5.40 clock, because I go to school and training needs. The scouts and player consultants who are available for every game on the sideline. The pressure that you make yourself.
Perhaps it interests you, yes, what is going on in a youth player, as the schedule looks like, what beautiful and not so good sides there.
Since the U 11 I'm in the youth of TSV 1860 Munich and became this season in the metro pulled up 17, which plays in the B-youth league. From now on, it goes against Bayern, Stuttgart, Hoffenheim, against all really great in the south of Germany.
May I hope that I will confirm my performance from last season and maybe a shovel put on it. Last year I scored 13 goals for the U 16 of the Lions and was the best scorer. In June, then followed the biggest highlight so far: Bavaria With U 16, we went to Duisburg to countries Cup, have actually won the tournament, making them the best choice in Germany! With four goals and an assist from me at the decisive 6-0 Saxony!
That was incredible. And this game has me confirmed that I can make it truly a professional. That it does not always go up, I already knew very well. But so far everything went brilliantly, I was never hurt harder've always made my goals, I am an integral part of the Bavaria-choice and will also be observed by the DFB.
Accordingly, I am curious how I make myself in the Bundesliga. Is already a different house number as last season, the Bavarian League. And it is rather the focus of the scouts. But I can be sure I have the full support of the 1860th I was always encouraged so far as possible from the club and I know that the makers believe in my breakthrough.
I'm the type of player a classic ten, see me on the position and the coach. Behind the tip, I can use my speed and my goal threat at best - and it's not so bad that I at 1.65 meters tall the other somewhat lagging behind. Nevertheless, I wish I along with many doors that I still grow the next twelve months. Sun 1.70 meters should already be in there sometime. At least I hope.
And if not, it's not too bad. I believe in myself, the club believes in me, my whole family believes in me. This trust is what matters and will also carry me through the season, no matter what.
I hope you are interested in my way, where is always the lead.
Best regards,
Your Mike Ott

"Ott defeated the curse at last"
He lives the dream of every teenager - but is it really a dream? Playmaker Mike Ott is one of the great hopes of the young blacksmith of TSV 1860 Munich and writes about life in SPOX a football talent. What makes him busy? What can cheer him? How does he deal with the pressure? Today Mike talks about his successful league start.
Dear SPOX reader
nearly three weeks before the season started, my first year in the Youth B league. Accordingly, I wanted to go to the first three games tell us something about how it went in person for my team and for me.
What can I say? There is no reason to complain. On the contrary, 1860 is three wins from three games and a difference of 15:3 gates of the first table. FSV Frankfurt we won 6-1 at the opening, then followed a 5-0 win over the SGV Freiberg. On Sunday, we succeeded in little derby against SpVgg Unterhaching a 4:2.
Part I of this column: Attention, here comes Mike!
With my performance I was also satisfied. Actually, I would have a better chance of evaluation may have been more goals, but four goals in three games are ever properly.
Yet we all know is not quite where we stand. The previous three opponents were all promoted, and now it is only the beginning. On Saturday we travel to TSG 1899 Hoffenheim, currently second behind us. And then we received the first FC Nuremberg. Only after these games, we know how good we really are. In the games against Hoffenheim and Nuremberg, I am already looking forward.
The jump in the B-youth league is to me now so successful that I can not complain. I play in the C-Youth in a 4-2-3-1 than ten behind the center forward. So I can use one hand the players, on the other hand, go in on the top and look for the final. This works out well, sometimes not so good.
If it was just Unterhaching: I would meet in the first half already have, but the header went just over. After the break I had a hundred percent chance, but then I hit the ball over the goal - from six yards. I thought: Not again!
For one of the spectators was my big brother, Manuel Ott. He plays in Ingolstadt and the Philippine National team - and for us it is so that we bring each other luck. When one visits the play of others, it never works that you meet. When I watch Manuel, he shoots a goal. Conversely, the same - but not any more! The curse of the Ott family was finally defeated.
Three minutes from time was I played well from the back and came from twelve feet to the end - there! But then I was more relieved than happy correctly. Despite the 4-2 I have to say that we all could have played better. Unterhaching was offset after only a minute due to a red card for the goalkeeper outnumbered and made it anyway, only to later be reduced to 1:1 and 2:3.
That should never happen. On the other hand, it is good to know that you can improve much. Let's see how it goes in Hoffenheim. Keep your fingers crossed!

My day in the elite school of football
He lives the dream of every teenager - but is it really a dream? Playmaker Mike Ott is one of the great hopes of the young blacksmith of TSV 1860 Munich and writes about life in SPOX a football talent. What makes him busy? What can cheer him? How does he deal with the pressure? Today, Mike says, like a normal 16-hour school day looks at him.
Dear SPOX reader
Today I wanted to write about what is actually nothing more special for me - but maybe other young people interested in the power of sport is not so much to do: my normal everyday life.
It's like this: Sporty it continues to run well. With the B-youth of TSV 1860 Munich, we have until this weekend, the table of Bundesliga South / Southwest led to another and celebrated a major victory: a 3-1 win in the derby with FC Bayern. After the 2:3 against Unterhaching on Sunday we are unfortunately slipped to second place.
A highlight of the last time the German school championships in Berlin in early October. I attended with my classmates from the Walter Klingenbeck Taufkirchen-school - and we picked up the first school in Bavaria at all the titles!
The unique experience to be there - and to apply for the DB football camp!
The success is all the more beautiful because I was able to celebrate it with the guys with whom I hit every day to school, but when I confront on the court otherwise than football opponent. For in the school team, along with four teammates in 1860 and five players for FC Bayern, two players and a player of Unterhaching from Ismaning were there.
We all go in Taufkirchen in the tenth grade and have a similar daily schedule that is tailored to our needs. On the one hand, we want a good education, but it is also pursuing other hand, our football career. We have the ideal conditions in Taufkirchen. The school received from the DFB also why the certificate as "elitist school of football."
But what a day looks the same in such a school?
Normally, my alarm clock ringing at 5:45, then I fight myself out of bed, get dressed quickly, have breakfast and a small one going down from my father to the station. We have become so routine in there that every minute is actually perfectly planned.
Clock at 6:25 I take the regional express from Petershausen Munich Central Station, where I arrive at 6.45 clock, then I get on the train and reach Taufkirchen Sun at 7.25 clock. Enough time to fairly relaxed walk to school.
Then comes the day off right: On Thursday, for example we have in the first hour BWR, as it comes to business management and accounting, in the second hour is in computer science. In the third and fourth hour, demonstrates the advantage of an elite school: Associations as 1860 and Bayern are in agreement with a school Schuttle service set up so that we will be picked for our first workout of the day and went to our club,
Sun at 11.15 clock, we are brought back, so we sit back in time for the fifth hour in class. On the agenda is social studies. Only after we have our first real break from lunch. The courts are likely to be in every school cafeteria is not always tasty, but you can relax a bit and chat with friends.
Then begins the second half of the day: At 13.15 clock, we learn something about sports theory. I'm generally very good grades in school, but a real favorite subject I have not. If anything, it's sports theory. Also, because our teacher Manuel tree is the coach of the school team and can explain his football experience many things very well.
Mr. Baum is parallel co-coach of the professional team of Unterhaching and often brings with videos to illustrate something to us. In the last hour he has been with us for example, a video analysis of a football game.
After standing at sporting theory to 16:15 clock or math, chemistry and English, before we are picked up again for the second training session at 1860th Because this only begins at 18 clock, we spend the meantime, often at the players who live in boarding-club.
The training goes like clock to 19:45 and then we go home: Tram, Metro, Regional Express, or pick up from the father of my big brother. Sun at 21.35 clock I'm home and ready either for some stuff in front of the school, watch TV or go short yet straight to bed.
For young people not involved in competitive sports, which may sound a bit stressful for me and my classmates, but it is quite normal. On such a daily routine you get used very quickly. But we are happy as all other students on Friday. On the day there is practically no afternoon classes.
