some guy was bickering with me earlier in this thread how it was pure luck that got ceres got past global in the quarterfinals. he must be eating his own words right now lol. it shows that ceres is clearly very underrated just because theyre not playing in the UFL right now.

and the two teams i was rooted for were already eliminated, instead they would face each other for the fighting for third match. PSG just lost their 3 key players as they were sent off. Mbata,Taher and Reza played very well but was unfortunate to be sent-off and may face a suspension in their most important match. im very sad for them. Taher is perhaps one of the best CB's in the league and Reza, except for the crazy things he did, also played well and save three crucial shots during the penalty shootout

the PSG win was bizarre! and GAU just did not have enough composure to finish the game, in regular time, extra time, and at the penalties! I expect them to get better and be a team to watch out during the coming UFL season though.
that Ceres made it this far (and is actually favored to go all the way) strengthens the argument for a nationwide league. Beloya showed quality that, sans issues, it would be lovely seeing him suiting up for the nationals, senior or youth.
btw, Marasigan was great for PSG, sparkplug! was just overshadowed by Reza Ataei's antics, (and heroics).

THE WINNING GOALCeres FC completes Cinderella run to win PFF national club titleThe clock never struck midnight for Cinderella squad Ceres FC of Negros Occidental, edging United Football League squad Pasargad FC, 1-0, to clinch the Philippine Football Federation-SMART National Club Championship Saturday night at the Rizal Memorial Football Stadium. Korean import Byeong Jeong Yoon scored the lone goal for Ceres, hitting the back of the net at the 56th minute to lift his team to the victory. Ceres, the only provincial squad that had a deep run in the tournament, previously beat UFL powerhouse squads Stallion Sta. Lucia FC, Global FC, and Kaya FC to reach the final. Ceres received a P100,000 cash reward, as well as a trophy for winning the tournament. Members of Ceres also dominated the tournament’s individual awards. Byeong was named as the Most Valuable Player, while national team member Joshua Beloya was hailed as the best midfielder. Jae Hun Hyeon won the best goalkeeper award, while Keon Hyeong Park got the best defender honors. Azkals skipper Chieffy Caligdong clinched the Golden Boot Award after scoring four goals for Green Archers United Globe, which also got the Fair Play award. Kaya FC won third place after defeating Green Archers, 2-0, in the day’s opening match. Forwards Alu Kigbu and Antonio Ugarte scored one goal each to lead Kaya FC to a podium finish in the tournament. Link:http://www.skyscrapercity.com/newreply.php?do=newreply&p=99851946
