I'm still hoping "Pilipinas Kong Mahal" would make it to the list. Alam ko marami sa inyo nakokornihan pero pag inisip nyo, it's simple, everybody knows it, it's very patriotic (WWII era), it has an English version ( Philippines my Philippines), and it meets a lot of the criteria! "Subukan mong kantahin magisa ang "You'll Never Walk Alone", corny diba? But if you hear it sung in unison in a stadium filled with ManU fans, it brings goosebumps! Especially if you know its history. The Azkals are our present day warriors, fighting for the honor of our country just like the long line of Filipino warriors that came before them. Let us tap into our patriotism because every match is fought not for the glory of the fans alone but for the glory our nation. It is the Philippine flag on the jersey that Azkals plant a kiss on each time a goal is made. If we cant agree on this then at least suggest one on the same lines of its sentiment. I was thinking it could be sung before matches (esp on home games) to unify fans in a solemn tribute to all who, by their courage, brought honor to the Philippines. But if not o lot of people like it, then I am officially nominating Pilipnas Kong Mahal as "song to be sung at full-time if we've lost"

Maybe its time for us to vote on w/c song should be used for the home game. I mean, what are we waiting for? If the community can finalize(a month before) the list of songs to be played during the home game. Then, we have another month to disseminate the proposed plans to all Azkaleros. An old adage states, “If you fail to plan, you plan to fail."

By the way, I agree with logic09 and rebel2fate Pilipinas Kong Mahal is an ideal song for the home game but it would be awesome if everybody sing the national anthem as loud as they can.. Just to show how proud we are of our country and how the Azkals represents that pride. Note: a video of Pilipinas Kong Mahal

aside from Cheers we'll add some Jeers and taunts!
You try SOLAR IS A SCUM!! if the PBA and Solar network of Mr. Wilson Tieng would not give way to a football match in which national pride is at stake..then we'll use it!

More than just the chants, I think a committee should be formed to take care of the logistics for creating the atmosphere. Most foreign clubs have people taking care of the football atmosphere in their stadium. We can do too, maybe at a smaller scale. I think people must be encouraged to buy the Azkals scarf (saw some being held up during the Panaad game), bring flags, and maybe even those streamers rolled down from the stands. Pilipinas Kong Mahal sounds like a good idea, although for the celebratory chants or for pumping up the atmosphere to egg on our boys, for now, we really have to use songs which are familiar to many. Songs like Kamikazee's version of Doo Bee Doo, sung in unison, and jumping up and down, would really create one hell of an atmosphere. And yes, like Pilipinas Kong Mahal, another song, Magtanim Ay Di Biro sounds corny. But to be song in unison, makes for a fantastic chant. Similar to Chelsea FC's "Ten Men Went To Mow"--cheesy song, but when song by a stadium, it really sounds amazing. Really hope we get to that level, and start veering away from the usual teenage girl shrieks which is what we've heard 99.9% of the time during their last home game.

There has to be some sort of structure for this to be successful.

i was thinking of something ala Usher's OMG...but shortened...OMG goes: oh, oh, oh-oh, oh-oh Oh My God...so instead we can do something like: aw (like a bark), aw, aw-aw, aw-aw Go Azkals! short and sweet.

You'll never walk alone- Liverpool Glory Glory Man Utd- Manchester Utd Darnit! My apologies. There's no excuse getting it wrong, it's on their crest!!! Eto kasing anak ko eh, he is into, of all things, air crashes right now (and he really remembers a lot of the details). He was showing me an article about the crash in 1958 that killed players from Manchester Utd. In one of the related article is a dispute that it was ManU fans who first sang You'll Never Walk Alone in dedication to the victims of the tragedy. Don't know if it's true though??? Anyway, thanks jade10usccasfc for the correction

One possible cheer is a variation of the Pet Shop Boys 'Go West' as adapted by clubs like Arsenal in their chant 'one nil to the Arsenal' as well as Barcelona's 'stand up for the Catalans/champions'
Perhaps we could have a 'stand up for the Philippines' or a 'one nil to the Philippines' chant going
Another possible song is the White Stripes' 'Seven Nation Army. It became a popular chant in Euro 2008
Countries have adapted their own words to the song such as "Campiogne del Mondo" for the Italians. Maybe do the same or just chant to create an atmosphere
