IIRC, Daniel Peters owned a business related to renewable energy and Paul Weiler embezzled the company's money and misrepresented it to commit some fraud. Until now, he is still a "grade A" con-man misrepresenting the PFF in Europe. Josue, Raul and Paul is just one and the same. According to some of my acquaintances, he is soliciting funds in Europe supposed to develop grassroots football in Cebu. Some of them do arrive as donation to a school somewhere south of Cebu but 90% of it goes to his pocket. pack him!!!!

Calling on the software experts. Somebody should modify this wikipedia page as this is not the official U-23 team. Somebody should also modify the wikipedia article on the Philippine national team to reflect the early history of Philippine football esp. when we won the first Far Eastern games and sent players to Europe.

Paddy Herget even said that if it wasn't through the efforts of Paul Weiler then him and Drinkuth wouldn't play for the Azkals.

The Cebu folks here are very upset with Mr. Weiler. He does have a tendency to claim things that is not true and assumes different identities on different boards. You can always spot him bec. of his terrible English skills. However, the Nagold tournament was a good idea for Coach Weiss to scout potential players for the team and help bring the various Filipino German and other European families together to celebrate their Filipino identity and pride. It also brought some respect for our football program in Germany as we are now acc. to Mr. Weiler receiving numerous invitations to participate in other youth tournaments. We may not like what he has done in the past, but it can't be denied that his German connections has helped our program.
Anyways what does all this have to do with Ian anyway? Ian doesn't deserve all this attention. Hahaha. ;D

Can you provide reference to this accusation? Don't get me wrong this isn't only a forum policy but a policy of proboards as well, the company that hosts Usapang Football. We do not want the forum to go offline because of your post.

Oi! Oi! Oi! We've already gone too far off topic. This thread is supposed to be about Ian Araneta retaining his place in the Azkals. So, with him still being in the team (at the time of this writing), this thread is no longer relevant.
Best to let this matter rest for now, before it spirals deeper into "other" matters. If Ian keeps his place in the WC Qualifiers, good for him. If Ian scores lots and lots during that time, good for us! But if at any time in the future, he gets cut off from the starting lineup or the team, then let's just hope his replacement will do a better job.
And to quote MasterControl, "end of line".
