I would like to introduce to you the football league in my region Central Luzon Football League kicks off tomorrowOLONGAPO CITY: The region's first and only football league is set to kickoff on Sunday, May 20th, at the Jose V. Yap Sports and Recreational Park with four teams representing Central Luzon provinces. "We organized the league for football players to showcase their talents and improve individual and team tactics. But more importanly, this is gives Central Luzon players a venue to play the beautiful game of football," Christian De Ocampo, coach of the Tarlac Football Club explained. The league format is a home and away game with the championship going to the team with the highest number of point at the end of two rounds. Among the founding teams are the Lighthouse Amihan Football Club (Olongapo City/Subic Bay), Futbulakenyos (Bulacan), Tarlac Football Club (Tarlac) and Pampanga Football Club (Pampanga). "We settled for four teams during the first season to make the league manageable and to keep the logistical requirements reasonable for all participants. Moving a team from one place to another and hosting a game requires a bit of resources so we hope the community will also extend support to the teams," Larry Simon, coach of Pampanga Football Club said. The CLFL champion takes home Sinukuan, the league's perpertual trophy, designed by Arvin Simon, an architecture student from Don Bosco Mandaluyong and done by some of the best craftmen in Pampanga. Bulacan coach Emman Robles said that football pride is at stake here. "All teams want to win. This time, we want to win for our cities and provinces. The Sinukuan is the gold standard of football development in the region. And all teams want to bring her to their repective areas," he said. All games will be played on a weekend at the home field of a host club. The teams also agreed to hold the first futsal league in the region dubbed Central Luzon Futsal League."Futsal (indoor football) will be played during the rainy season to keep the players fit. It also signals the arrival of futsal in the region as a major sport," John Bayarong, Lighthouse Amihan Football Club coach said. The Subic Bay Futbol Club, Amihan FC's mother club, completed its futsal development program last May 18th training around 200 kids. "We at the Pilipinas Futsal Association (PFA) support the regional competitions. We hope that more regions take the initiative to set up their own league for both football and futsal," Xarex Velazquez, coordinator of the PFA said.(30) promdinewszambales.blogspot.com/2012/05/central-luzon-football-league-kicks-off.html

Bulacan, Tarlac takes top spot in the Central Luzon Football LeagueTue. May. 22, 2012 By John Bayarong San Jose, Tarlac --- The Central Luzon Football League got underway last Sunday with host Tarlac FC defeating Pampanga FC, 5-1 while the Futbulakenyos blanked the Lighthouse Amihan FC, 5-0 at the Jose V. Yap Recreational Center. The two fixtures launched the regional football league with Tarlac FC and Futbulakenyos hosting the matches as their home game. "We hope CLFL will encourage other regions to form their own leagues, and for the teams in the region to shift to club system so they can join the league,' Christian de Ocampo, tournament commissioner, told the participating teams during the opening ceremonies. The league is a home and away format with each team playing three home games and 3 away games. The club with the highest points takes home the Sinukuan, the league's perpetual trophy. The trophy was named after Mount Arayat's goddess of bounty. "While winning the Sinukuan is the objective of every team, friendship and fair play is as important. A league like this also allows the individual to develop skills while the teams and the coaching staff polish their tactics," John Bayarong, one of the league director told the crowd during the launch. Futbulakenyos dominated the young Lighthouse Amihan team scoring their first two goals within the first 20 minutes and upping the tally to 4-0 at the end of the first 45 minutes. The Batang 'Gapo squad regrouped in the last 45 minutes, allowing only one goal for a fulltime score of 5-0. "We thank all those who supported us. And I hope our form continues against Pampanga FC," Emman Robles, Futbulakenyos coach said after the game. "Futbulakenyos smothered our attacks. We lost on offside violations and unnecessary fouls. They were the better team today and we will return the favor in our home field in Subic Bay,' LAFC coach John Bayarong said. In the second match, Tarlac FC controlled the midfield allowing playing coach Kits de Ocampo to score 4 goals. Reggie Taar, tHe leagues' oldest player at 50 score a header from a corner kick. Pampanga FC managed to score from inside the penalty box to end the game at 5-1. "The game against pampanga FC was a test for our team. It is the first time our team played with all the players present and it proved to be rewarding," Coach Kits said. Pampanga Football Club takes on Futbulakenyos in the next match day on May 27 at the Pampanga Sports complex in San Fernando, Pampanga. www.pinoyfootball.com/articles/11100910/Bulacan-Tarlac-takes-top-spot-in-the-Central-Luzon-Football-League

Central Luzon starts own football leagueBy Allen M. Villa Wednesday 23rd of May 2012 IBA, Zambales, May 23 (PIA) -- Following the rise to fame of the Azkals who popularized football as one of the “global sports” our country can compete, Central Luzon (CL) opened its first ever Central Luzon Regional Football League (CLFL), kicking off last Sunday, May 20, at the Jose V. Yap Sports and Recreational Park. “We organized the league to showcase CL’s football talents and improve individual and team tactics. Moving a team from one place to another and hosting a game requires resources so we hope the community will also extend support to the teams," Larry Simon, coach of Pampanga Football Club said. The CLFL champion takes home Sinukuan, the league’s perpetual trophy, designed by Don Bosco Mandaluyong architecture student Arvin Simon, and crafted by some of the best wood carvers in Pampanga. Bulacan coach Emman Robles said that football pride is at stake in the competition, adding that all teams want to bring home the trophy. “This time, we want to win for our cities and provinces. Hmmm... could see 13 minor regional leagues in the Philippines to represent the regions. As the clubs become more established in these minor leagues, the next logical step in the evolution would be a true national league - a "PRIMEYERO" or a "BAYAN LIGA" (could only dream haha...).

“The league is a home and away format with each team playing three home games and 3 away games,” ani Bayarong.

Bulacan undefeated in Central Luzon Football League admin | May 30, 2012 | 0 Comments San Fernando, Pampanga — Bulacan’s Futbulakenyos continued their run in the Central Luzon Football League defeating Pampanga FC, 5-1, last Sunday (May 27) at the Bren Z. Guiao Sports Complex. The Bulacan booters took control of the game early on scoring two goals in the first 45 minutes of the game. They continued the onslaught of Pampanga FC scoring three more goals in the second 45 minutes. Pampanga FC scored a consolation goal in the 88th minute of the game. Larry Simon, coach of Pampanga FC, contgratulated the visitors. “The boys played hard and tough but that is football. A team wins and another loses. This time they took the three points,” Simon said. The teams go on a break on June 3, taking the road on June 10 with the Lighthouse Amihan FC travelling to San Fernando, Pampanga against Pampanga FC, 9:00 in the morning. League leaders stake their pride when Futbulakenyos takes on Tarlac FC at the Tarlac Recreational Center, 4:00 in the afternoon of the same day. Futbulakenyos win against the Pampanga squad is their 2nd win after they won against the Lighthouse Amihan FC, 5-0, in the league opener last May 20th. Pampanga FC, on the other hand, suffered their 2nd loss in as many outings after they lost 5-0 against Tarlac FC last week. Emman Robles, coach of the Futbulakenyos, said he was pleased with the start of the league. “Nakakapagpataas ng confidence ng mga players, pero kailangan pang pagbutihin ang laro, mahaba pa ang liga,” aniya. (These wins are a morale boosters for the boys but we need to play well in the other games.) Christian de Ocampo, commissioner ng CLFL, explained that the league has two round, one home round and one away round. The team with the most points after two rounds take home the Sinukuan, the prized trophy in region 3. “If a team wins, they get 3 points. A draw gives 1 point while the loser gets no points. So far, Futbulakenyos full 6 points because they are undefeated,” de Ocampo said. League officials hope that the other regions will form their own regional leagues. “This will improve football substantially. The league will show the current level of football in their respective provinces. So far, it must be said that Bulacan has the upper hand our the region,” John Bayarong, coach of the Lighthouse Amihan FC said. He added that “the value of the home game is evident. Teams must adjust and bring a higher level of game when they host Bulacan if they want maximum 3 points.” subicupdater.com/?p=1267

Nice post on the photos dingodiles, great to have a look at the teams. Some thoughts... I like the design of the Tarlac FC shirts and kits. Very Dutch are they going to play 'total football' Hmmm... I notice that Tarlac FC shirt don't have a nike logo. With their logo, I would imagined that the FUTBULakenyos would be wearing similar shirt to ACMilan (black & red stripes). Again with the logo, I thought the Pampangans would be wearing blue (there are too many shirt & kits based on red) like ChelseaFC. What's kapampangan for 'The Blues'? Amihan FC... what's with the logo? It doesn't set the heart fluttering with passion. Hmmm... just for fun I might do one over the weekend and post it on their FB page.
