kaya i am ok with playing road games, basta yung pupuntahan mo may large filipino community. if the away game country is rich... expect there will be lots of Pinoys or expats in general. ;D back to topic... is R.Mueller will play against Singapore since NE can only play against Nepal?

As far as I know, Neil is playing in Singapore too. It's Gier that's playing only against Nepal from what I understood from cjeagle's post. Still no word on Cagara?

From a Singapore blog: Getting ready for a AWAY game Early rumours of ticket sales domination by the Filipinos A case of hitting the panic button has hit the Singapore football FANS fraternity. Is it the recent win against Malaysia that hyped up the excitement? Is it the interest after our announcement to join the Malaysia Cup? Is it a case of jumping on the bandwagon? Or is it a case of a better and more successful marketing strategy by the FAS with their better use of facebook as a tool to generate more interest. Suddenly, people are queuing up for tickets long before matchday! And when rumours of Filipinos buying their tickets in bulk and FAS' reports of sold out grandstand tickets, fans are a little worried that Jalan Besar will be turned into an away ground this coming Friday. Well, let this be a wake up call. Sure, there is the reason of the tickets being sold at noon on a working day. A valid reason for Singapore fans to "complain". But then again, if the away fans can do it, why can't we with our "kiasu DNA" in us do the same? Sure, away fans should have been given only a limited number of tickets. But with over 150,000 Filipinos working and residing here with definitely a significant group of Permanent Residents, you can't fault them for buying up the tickets also. But one thing is for sure, this is our test to see whether we can hold our ground at the Lions' den. So what if there are 4,700 fans in Blue this Friday night chanting the names of the Younghusbands and the Etheridges. So what? 300 Singaporeans armed with spirit, voice, desire, passion, flags, banners and yes, our favourite loudhailers will stand our ground and make sure that Jalan Besar remains Jalan Besar. We will make sure that last year's heartbreaking 1-1 draw was nothing but a fluke. Join up in arms with the LATW Crew as we march down from our favourite meeting place at Lavendar MRT down to the place we all feel at home, Jalan Besar Stadium. Are you ready? www.lionsatw.com/

So is it safe to say it going to be a 'home' game for the Azkals?

It certainly looks that way. I hope someone would lead their chants and cheers as the Kaholeros won't be there. Nevertheless, the collective "Aaaaayyy!" should have the Azkals feeling right at home.

May scalpers din b jan? dan from what I just read it's a 6000 seat stadium and from my deduction, I could be wrong, the seating given to Filipinos were 4,700 seats. If they open up the other areas, and I think they have, the crowd might be more than 80% Flip!!! Way to go Filipino fans and have a great trip Kulaspero15! Add: Just read on wiki its a 2star? turf, so it's a fast turf. No bad bounces. Nice.

The grandstand tickets which was initially allocated for Filipino fans (allocated to the grandstand for security reasons) have been sold out. ... 2. Due to the overwhelming demand we have open the sales of gallery tickets to Filipino fans as well. 3. The tickets will be on sale until match day unless it is sold out prior to Friday. It is sold on a first come first serve basis. filipinofootball.blogspot.com/Reply With Quote

Basing on their last game from WC 2014 3rd stage match against Iraq, my prediction would be the Lions playing with this first XI: (they want revenge on the last draw against the AzKals so they would be playing full line-up. can also be tune-up for the upcoming WC Qual. game against Jordan ) -------------------Izwan/Lewis----------------------- Jumaat-----Bennet-----Safuwan-------Shaiful -------Mustafic ---- Mohammad/Shahdan ------- --Qiu Li ----------- Shahril ------------- Shi Jiayi -- -------------------------Duric----------------------------- Duric would always be their reliable target man. Though slow (40 yrs old ) but big and very good in the air. Also a very reliable poacher. Izwan is the younger keeper (21) and depending on the fitness of Lewis(their regular no. 1) whether he starts or not. Bennet and Mustafic are naturalized Euro players. The equivalent of our Gier and De Jong but relatively more experienced and more fit ;D especially Mustafic(Yugo/Serbia???). Safuwan is a regular U23 and seniors player (he is 21 years old, not sure) and molded from a young age ala Pique, as a ball playing defender. As what I read from the forums, he is also very fast for a central defender. Shaiful is a very accurate corner taker and scores most of his goals from free kicks. Jumaat is their poor man's version of Michel Bastos/Maicon, a workhorse, noted for his very high stamina and can run up and down the flank even at the end of full 90 minutes. Mohammad or Shahdan(depending on who would start) are somewhat a deep lying playmaker. Shahdan is the better playmaker (long balls to Duric) while Mohammad is the better tackler. Depends on the mindset of Raddy, if he wants a tiki-taka or their usual "all roads lead to Duric". Sharil is a natural central MF while the naturalized Chinese' (Qiu and Shi) are their Caligdongs. Better and faster and also a good passer and can switch side comfortably with each other. Armchair manager mode:If I would be Raddy and they scouted the AzKals game properly, I would let the team sit deep and leave Duric as a lone ranger. He is still strong enough to hold on his own against Aly and Gier. I would suck the AzKals players in (would be easy since they are very eager to attack) and once they lose possession, launch the ball directly to Duric and let the Chinese wingers race down the flanks to capitalize on the AzKals slow transition game and can have an easy 1 on 1 or 2 on 2 plays. If it fizzles, we can have a corner and the old reliable tank(Duric) would be on his own waters.

Nice review vimjonk. I didn't knew you knew so much about the Singaporean team.
Anyways, acc. to the Singaporean federation, FAS, the stadium is officially sold out. Here is their comment on their facebook page:
Football Association of Singapore Dear fans and Lions supporters, the tickets for the Singapore vs Philippines match that will take place this Friday, have been sold out. We would like to thank the fans for their support of the team. See you at the stadium on Friday.

Just like I've mentioned in my previous post, Guirado should be fielded the same way as Singapore's Duric, and not as an overall jack-of-all-trade attacking-defending midfielder (which is the main reason why he alway runs out of gas). Trust me, if you want Guirado to regain his "Spanish killing instinct" then play him in his correct and optimal position. It'll free some space for Phil Y to operate too.
