My thoughts: First of all, some of the guys here knows that I was very upset not seeing the match and all i could do is wait for the updates. And for the trolling. LOL , Anyways, I watched the replay and enjoyed it. First, simulations are rampant on that game. Especially on Kuwait side. It was horrible watching those kind of simulations. Poor calls from the ref. Neil Etheridge is just amazing. He's in his top match fit talking about him playing week-in week-out at Bristol. The only problem for me in the back four is Jonsson. Having him play on the right which he don't normally do. He's a natural left back and be better playing on the left. It's not an all awkward feeling playing uncomfortably but it's making me feel that way playing on his position. Gier and Juani is just great playing together on that back. Gier organized that back well. And for Juani, I never thought he can run that fast. Did you see that guys? WOW! Cagara!? WOW! I really love how he plays. He's a typical German left back. Tireless! Jerry Lucena is very consistent playing that holding mid position. I think it should be better if he pairs up with someone with how Kuwait plays. Marwin Angeles played well also but lacks the experience playing with big teams. But great exposure for the kid. Reichelt was just amazing. Skill-wise, he had it in him. Good ball handling and has composure. But if I were to pick between him and JamesYh. I would still pick James over him. James has wide experience playing internationally, better crosser, has intensity, has this connection with his brother, leadership, better on set pieces. I think skill-wise, James has it over Reichelt. But of course, Reichelt played well on that game and great exposure as well. As for Caligdong, I think he's exhausted. He's running back and forth chasing those fast Kuwaiti players. But he played well too. Mulders is very consistent. We know how he plays. He knows how to read the game. Has composure. And for Wolf, I love how he position himself to get those thru balls. But not strong enough to muscle against defenders. Doesn't read the game well. Doesn't have that intensity in him. And we all know that he's not a clinical finisher. PYh is much better than Wolf. No doubt. As for Coach Weiss. I know I maybe wrong saying this but I guess he gives more consideration and time for players who are Half-Germans. Talking about Reichelt and Wolf cause these guys can understand what the system of Coach Weiss. I think that is he's mind set. I really don't know but maybe Weiss give them more time to have this exposure that they need. One thing that I've also noticed is that we are really better on that 2nd half. Not only because of Angel but also because of Phil. If these guys play together, Phil, Angel, Mulders, Calgdong, James, Lucena, the guys that played in the AFC, they play with more intensity and cohesion. They have that connection in them that the Peace Cup Boys/Youngsters don't have. They are really good skill-wise but to have the AFC Boys sidelined or to be a sub? It's non-sense for me. All in all, it's a well-played game for us.

I think what surprise the Kuwaiti's on that early parts of the second half was the way the azkals played they started to pressure the Kuwaiti defenders and causing them make errors on passing or delay there passes which destroyed there game a little... about the 70' Azkal players were beginning to tire which cause them that 2nd penalty which the a dive by the kuwaiti... Great adjustment by the Coaching staff at halftime... Maybe our Azkals should learn how to simulate as well... I remember some plays were wolf or Reichelt could have gone down from a kuwaiti tackle inside the box...

.... Jonsson does not look his normal self anymore.. de Murga should be preferred from now on. ... Isn't it unfair to make major decisions on a player, especially one who has consistently performed exceptionally, based on a single match? Also consider that, like cebujames said, he was not put in his usual position. ... Maybe our Azkals should learn how to simulate as well... Darren Hartman explained once that some European clubs teach their players how to simulate convincingly. If you notice, some of our Europe-based players are able to dive quite convincingly. LOL But seriously, if the Azkals management decide to implement such a program and word gets out, that would destroy the Azkals' reputation. If these guys play together, Phil, Angel, Mulders, Calgdong, James, Lucena, the guys that played in the AFC, they play with more intensity and cohesion....They are really good skill-wise but to have the AFC Boys sidelined or to be a sub? It's non-sense for me. ... One thing I have observed from coach Weiss is that he uses these non-crucial matches to experiment. I think that's why he doesn't use the usual starting players immediately. And come to think of it, I think that's also why he put Jonsson at right

Thank God people are now recognizing and are more vocal about Paul Mulders contribution to the team! For awhile I thought all that people could see was his "no goal" total I tell you what, he and Jerry Lucena were a big part of the team NOT losing control of the whole game as they did not make it easy on the Kuwaitis to get through in the middle. Sure we lost but our performance here shows we are still learning and getting better all the time. I wish we play more middle eastern teams, they have so much to teach us! Marwin Angeles: For the life of me, I do not understand why he played so unlike himself vs Kuwait. His performance in the Challenge Cup was very good and although he did ok here, he was sub par. The Kuwaitis were pushing him around. It's too bad Jason de Jong was not subbed in, I think his passing is under appreciated and so is his speed and could have made the DM position better. I'm ready for Singapore!

Experience and Skill-Wise, these guys are all above anyone else on our team talking about their position. As for Jason De Jong, I believe that this guy is a great defensive player and can play well on DM. You are so so right Wiking. I agree.

Mulders is really an intelligent midfielder ala Paul Scholes though he is less in long ball. both Mulders and Lucena are just contented of playing at the middle of the pitch and you can rarely see them makes an attempt on goal. though i like a CM who plays like Yaya Toure, a typical box to box player, i am still happy that we have them who contributes and make an impact silently. you can only appreciate them if you are a true football fan. because most of the bandwagons only appreciate the strikers and those who score a goal. Mulders just need to get more touch of the ball, and play more like point guard in basketball. im sure he can deliver because he is a playmaker

Isn't it unfair to make major decisions on a player, especially one who has consistently performed exceptionally, based on a single match? Also consider that, like cebujames said, he was not put in his usual position. I think Jonsson was out of form in the last 2 games especially in the kuwait match. Offensively, his forward runs had little to no effect while defensively, there seems to always be some kuwaiti winger rampaging forward on his side of the pitch. BTW, right back is his natural position and his stronger foot is his right but he is also adept in playing left back. Although, I highly doubt that he would be out of contention in our future games given that we are thin on the left back. His only serious competition is christeans but he is more of a winger than a wing back and I don't think Weiss would take that gamble against the SEA powerhouses.

^ I will not be claiming to be a ray jonsson expert as my main reference is football manager. so i will stand corrected. my point still stands though - if cagara won't be joining the suzuki cup we're gonna need him in better form.

Omphroy is also a natural RB but because of his advance skills he was converted at RW. James and Carli can share minutes but James is longer playing in this position since his days at Chelsea

This match was removed by FIFA and so is not "in accordance" with FIFA rules and regulations. I or someone with new information will update this.
On a personal note, I don't mind it being removed, it's one less loss and we DID learn from the "loss" anyway. But mainly I hope it isn't our fault!

It doesn't look like the Philippines was at fault here again. Why? Because Kuwait's match against Syria was also removed. You would think heads would roll at the Kuwait FA for this huge oversight. FIFA nullifies Azkals loss to Kuwait for lack of ‘authorisation’Wednesday, October 24, 2012 · 5:40 pm World governing body FIFA has nullified the Philippine national men’s football team’s 2-1 loss to Kuwait last October 16 due to the failure of the Middle East side to meet a requirement for it to be considered an official international match. In an email to InterAKTV, FIFA said that Kuwait did not seek “authorisation” from the Asian Football Confederation for the friendly match, which was played at the Al Kuwait Sports Club Stadium in Kuwait City. “Kuwait had not applied for authorisation from the AFC,” FIFA wrote in an email Wednesday. “For this reason we had to remove the fixture from FIFA.com.” According to FIFA’s Regulations Governing International Matches, the participating teams in an international match, as well as its host, should request recognition of the match from their confederation at least two months before the match’s planned date. Both the Philippines and Kuwait are under the AFC, the Asia’s football governing body. www.interaksyon.com/interaktv/fifa-nullifies-azkals-loss-to-kuwait-for-lack-of-authorisation
