man to be mark this coming Friday its david and kyi lin we better mark that 2 players cause they are key players of myanmar.this coming game is winnable by a goal, but they need to focus and not give the ball the easily.i think PYH isnt sharp during the vietnam game still waiting for the first crack of goal even the commentator was like PYH isnt playing his game.

The good news is that Kyi Lin plays on the right wing (as what i have seen versus Thailand? not sure though) and that means Cagara will be taking care of business and out-muscle him.

Contrapelo is the word I used to describe Myanmar against the Azkals same with Laos and Cambodia... Team that we just can't beat... I hope we finally win against them this friday...

our main striker needs to be sharp on Friday. PYH is not performing well the past few games he played. he need to regain his Challenge cup performance.

Completely agree! seems the Azkals can go toe-to toe with the regional giants, but cannot seem to get over the hump with the regional minnows. I share your sentiments, and i am positive we will overcome that ghost come friday. and then we can Hope that Rizal Stadium is able and ready.

Just arrived from the stadium - people outside (Myanmar fans) were dancing with drum beats pre-game. It was full and festive.
About the Vietnam - PH game, Cagara easily out-muscled the wingers (damn he's ripped) and made no nonsense passes. Jonsson played ok, made defensive mistakes (marking) but offset by clearing headers and interceptions. Lucena also had interceptions that could have been key passes to the Forwards. De Jong, calm on defense but ineffective going forward. Reichelt played good at left but better at right. Wolf and Guirado were a constant threat with their size and speed. They tend to receive the ball and run at defense at the later stages of the match which was good enough to give Guirado a chance but intercepted by the Vietnamese defender. Caligdong did an OK touch from Guirado's lob pass and finished it well at the far post which had the GK thought it would be on the near because of Caligdong's position wide left. Mulders unremarkable other than his 1-2 with Phil. Kudos also to our CBs to keep them playing from the center and force them wide and our own EDSA for keeping a clean sheet with some saves.

Interesting last matchup for us against Myanmar. with their morale down, they can still get that second spot with a win. Interesting strategy for Weiss, since we just need a draw to advance. I say we stick to our usual game, keep our defense intact, but go for that 6 points. Not quite true. If we get a draw, that would be 4 points for us with a goal differential of 0. If Vietnam beats Thailand by a score of 3-1, for example, then Vietnam would also have 4 points and a goal differential of +1. They get the second spot.

But that begs the question...and could you tell anyone straight in their faces that Vietnam can beat Thailand come friday? and even a more PRESSING question: Can Vietnam beat Thailand handily? (i.e., with a big margin like 3-1)? ;D EXACTLY. that is why i said that a draw would suffice given the CIRCUMSTANCES. and i remember mentioning in the last sentence that we should go for that 6 points to avoid any complications. you are literally hinging on mathematical possibilities without considering the realistic outcome. and as they say "all work with no play, makes a boy dumb." (did i quip it right?) sorry to break it to you sir.
