we are not known for keeping the ball possession in our side. so it's okay just don't let their wingers penetrate our flanks. they are very dangerous in crosses and corners because they also have tall players on their side

Please do not be confident in thinking beating SIN is already expected. First, the guy name Duric is still the heart and soul of the Lions. they are unpredictable and can prepare to any team for a match. Second, the match will be likely be done on Jalam Bessar which is an artificial pitch, in which Azkals by report have poor win record. Lastly, they,re Serbian coach Avramovic will be his last year plus maybe Duric @42 will be his last international game for them, and most likely will want to have the best last hurrah..So hoping Azkals will prepare more and stay as undergog mindset and be hungrier to win.

Like all the other teams, they'll probably attack the flank with no Cagara there. Myanmar being the exception (had Kyi Lin attacked the other flank, we'd be in more trouble). Attacking straight down the middle with no cross or through ball would have a striker run into the wall of Gier and Guirado. Hoping Dennis can still play.

There are a lot of pinoys in SG who might take offense with your statement, sir. im lost, in what sense it would be an offense? if most filipinos woudnt be working that day would it be best if they can watch it live rather watch it on tv or delayed telecast due to work commitment? we need all the fans support to fill that stadium with pinoys does that make sense?

Look, the last time we played SIN in the Suzuki Cup, we were propelled into the Semis based on that draw. This is why I said we need to play for the whole 90 minutes. There is a bit of revenge factor on their side because we KO'd them in 2010.
As for Mulders and Cagara, do not worry about them. If they play, they play. We have others. It might be a nice opportunity to bring up a UFL standout to at least be a part of it. The eventuality is that they will have to rely more on the UFL in the short term rather than spanning the globe for those with Pinoy lineage

Watched the delayed telecast of SIN vs. LAO on Star Sports this afternoon. A lot of lapses in defense on both sides. SIN were very physical. Fahrudin (#15) of SIN involved in dangerous play and was given a yellow card only on his third dangerous play. I read in news reports that it may have been the Lao player in Fahrudin's first dangerous play who was brought to hospital.
The subs (younger players) who came in before the end of HT were crucial in reversing the fortunes of SIN who were down 2 goals towards the end of HT but made it 2-1 by the end of HT. Shahril and Amri (who scored a goal with his free kick), aside from Duric, are the ones to watch out for in terms of goal shots. LAO played well but their goalkeeper apparently lacked something extra to deal with the attacks of SIN.
If our team maintains excellent defense (that one sports commentator on ESPN I think noted that the Azkals have and is the hallmark of a championship team), we will win the semis.

i've read somewhere that Singapore will only give 20% of the tickets to the away fans. therefore, don't expect a huge number of supporters from us in our away game but i could be wrong. this may only be an idea coming from a die hard Singaporean fans who are afraid to see their hometown crowd outnumbered by the Filipino supporters

im just thinking just how many filipinos are there in singapore? maybe filipinos who work there can be given a days off just to watch the game during the 2nd leg to show their support Pretty much sure we the Filipino community here in Singapore will be out in force again to show our support as we did during the friendly match held here a couple of months ago. We ourselves might be scrambling with each other to get hold of that limited "away fans" ticket.

If Jonsson is out,. and Cagara is back to his team.. that would mean our mighty four would be lessen to two... darn!!... remaining dudes (on def side) should step up to the plate, and wedge any attempt from a vengeful SIN team.. go lang nang go AZKALS!!.. Now I'm missing ALY..
